Eaton’s Aerospace sector, Fluid and Electrical Distribution division, is currently seeking a Production Technician to join our team 1st Shift. This position is based at our Glenolden, PA facility. Starting Pay is $24.00/hour Position Overview: The Production Technician is required to work in multiple areas and flexed as needed based on operational needs. Proficient knowledge of skills include, but are not limited to, assembly (Mechanical and Lubriclone), test, laser marking, paint, brazing, drilling/pinning, and deburring. In this function you will: Follow work orders, engineering drawings, and visual/written work instructions to manufacture components safely and accurately. Use machines or hand tools to perform various assembly operations Inspect parts using basic precision inspection techniques such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, comparators, etc. Visually inspect work for acceptability to internal and customer requirements. Examples include product finish (nicks/dings), marking location, marking legibility, cleanliness, etc Assist in resolving production failures or product issues. Identify and initiate continuous improvement for product safety, quality, and efficiency. Assembly - Use automated equipment, manual equipment, and hand tools to crimp, stake, bolt, rivet, solder, cement, press fit or perform similar operations to secure or join parts. Assembly - Perform intermediate assembly tasks such as potting, epoxy bonding, curing, painting, etc. Test - Performs required Resistance, Decay, Pressure, and Sink Tests in accordance with Acceptance Test Procedures. Laser - Set-up and operate laser marking machines per work instructions. Laser mark parts in accordance to drawing specifications and / or customer requirement Paint - Mask, apply paint with spray guns, syringes and silk screens to various products. Brazing - Set up and operate brazing equipment per work instructions. Cut screens, assemble, and braze parts. Deburring - Operate polish grinder or deburring tools and remove metal and surface defects or contour edges of components based on specifications or blueprints or work instructions. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Minimum of High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required. Minimum of 1 year of experience in at least 3 different manufacturing areas (I.e.. Assembly, test, laser, paint, brazing). Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years of soldering experience preferred Experience in all disciplines (testing, laser marking, painting, brazing, drilling/pinning and deburring) preferred.
