The Philadelphia, PA site manufactures a life-saving influenza vaccine. Our product is aseptically filled into sprayers for nasal administration. The site consists of two geographic locations - a facility at Red Lion Road in NE Philadelphia has about 140 full-time employees and the Bensalem storage and distribution facility has about 5 employees. The facilities are about 8 miles apart and both are situated close to I-95, the city of Philadelphia, and Philadelphia International Airport. Our product is sold in the US, UK and other countries. Operations continue year round, with the production season being in the summer (typically May – August). Our site is highly collaborative where we show our Philly pride in all we do. We work closely together, always striving to be better every day. We have two opportunities available! We will be hiring a Manufacturing Technician II and / or a Technician III in Philadelphia, PA depending on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. We also have two shifts to include a position starting as 1st shift, then transition to 2nd shift 5 days at 8 hours, and 2nd shift 5 days a week at 8 hours.
What will you do:
- Perform a variety of tasks related to the processing of ingredients and/or pharmaceutical products.
- Operate general manufacturing equipment, such as autoclaves, and automated aseptic filling lines.
- Handle raw materials and intermediate or finished products.
- Assist in all direct manufacturing support functions such as Thaw, Blend, Fill, Stage, Prep, Environmental Monitoring (EM) and equipment preparation. Assist in indirect manufacturing support functions, such as cleaning and sanitization of the facility.
- Perform standard operating procedures to meet current good manufacturing practices (GMP). Accurately completes required documentation to align with Federal regulations and assists with batch-record close-out.
- Maintain product related records as required.
- Author/revise SOPs and Batch records as needed.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or
- Biologic Technician Certification or
- Associate Science Degree
Required:
Manufacturing II
- Minimum of one (1) year of related experience or training.
- Aseptic processing experience in the bio/pharmaceutical industry.
- Clean room work experience, food, medical device and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing or aseptic processing and/or assembly experience, which may include environmental monitoring, pharmaceutical warehousing, pharmaceutical packaging experience is acceptable.
Manufacturing III
- Minimum of three (3) years of related experience or training.
- All other requirements as listed in Manufacturing II
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree is a strong plus.
