JOB OBJECTIVES:

• The Senior IE Test Equipment Planning develops automotive and SSC test concepts for new and complex measurement tasks. He/she has deep knowledge of test equipment in automotive production, as well as profound knowledge in microcontrollers, RF/LF and battery management system under production conditions. He/she reviews, coordinates and completes the inspection requirement document (IRD) together with R&D and quality in PEP phase. Based on the IRD he/she creates test equipment specifications for in-circuit tester, functional tester, end of line tester, shipping end test as well as safe-launch test equipment.

JOB SCOPE:

• The Senior IE Test Equipment Planning is responsible for creation of test requirements for the product and product specific software, including test tasks with medium to high complexity. He/she ensures that the product is testable with the equipment, makes sure the use / application of the test standard and the mechanical test equipment standards (according to the product group). He/she creates a test equipment concept based on the “inspection requirement" from the development department, in close cooperation with R&D, quality and manufacturing planning
• He/she has broad knowledge in the field of High frequency (RF) measurements, flashing technology for microcontrollers and test concept of battery management system, can act as a consultant for the automotive and SSC team at MSC

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Creation of test equipment concepts for complex measurement tasks
• Implementation of new technologies for test equipment, e.g. force/travel, high frequency measurement, BMS system
• Consultant for automotive and SSC test equipment at MSC
• Consultant for inline-flashing solutions
• Be able to develop alternative local solutions
• Perform training of new colleagues
• Monitoring of cost, time line and quality of new concepts and equipment
• Work out and propose traceability solutions for new products together with quality planner

MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Profound technical knowledge based on at least a bachelor university degree, major in communications or electronic engineering, automation technologies, mechatronics
• Min. 5 years of work experience in the measurement and test engineering field
• Experience in automotive industrial test environment
• Able to read and fully understand technical drawings and specifications
• Have the ability to communicate with others

-Good command of English, written and oral (ability to understand technical documents written in English and -ability to discuss written or oral about technical problems in English)

• Deep knowledge about Electrical and Electronic Circuit Diagrams
• Deep knowledge about Measurement and Test Engineering
• Good knowledge of Chinese safety regulation of equipment

-Good sense of team - work

• Basic quality understanding, including the quality tools and controlling theory
• Coordination skills to handle several projects

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• knowledge circuit technology, microprocessor technology
• Knowledge in processing parallel projects
• Knowledge in the areas: FMEA ,. Calibration, test methods and processes, capability studies
• Good knowledge of CE
• Knowledge about LabView
• Knowledge of battery management system
