Market Access Manager - Oncology

Job Description

Role Purpose:

  • Implement AstraZeneca Oncology activities in the Market Access environment across the KSA
  • Act on & Communicate changes/trends and provide solutions to challenges arising in the market access field and their likely impact on the AstraZeneca portfolio.
  • Implement market access strategies for new product launches.
  • Manage tender business in the Saudi market and supporting franchises to achieve target revenues
  • Participate in brand teams.

Key Accountabilities:

Execute Market  Access activities:

  • Establish strategic partnerships with Health Authorities through strategic health initiatives
  • Working with regional and international teams to define local strategies for MA & GA in Saudi
  • Drives product pricing analysis and recommendation by analyzing competitive products and pricing, ensuring alignment with brand value proposition, understanding customer groups (patients and physicians), collaborating with Managed Markets and Contracting Strategy
  • Develop formulary listing processes & brand expansion accessibility plans, through effective communication between KAMs, marketing, medical and sales functions .
  • Understand priorities of stakeholders, Identify partnership/ Market opportunities & identify opportunities and threats to AZ business and provide deliverable solutions & recommendations.
  • Work with cross functional teams to Implement  market access short term tactics & long term strategies for the life cycle management of AZ portfolio
  • Monitors environment and practices for shifts in trends or behaviours, interprets  likely impact and suggests appropriate actions/ recommendations
  • Maintain strong business relationships with Key Decision Makers.
  • Identify, build, map and manage relations with relevant stakeholders and influencers
  • Comply with AZ policies, standards and procedures in every interaction

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Necessary knowledge and Experience to be able to do the job (including language skills):

  • Minimum 5 years experience with consistent success in pharmaceutical or healthcare sales
  • Previous Oncology and/or Speciality experience is a must with the drive to continually build individual knowledge over time
  • Market knowledge of the Saudi market is essential
  • Understanding of the impact of public policy and political influences on coverage, payment and regulatory decisions
  • Understanding of the commercial pharmaceutical marketplace
  • Business English Language – verbal, written and auditory, preferably Arabic Language – conversational
  • Ability to develop Market Access & pricing strategies
  • Experience of working closely with payer customers
  • Knowledge of the local healthcare systems
  • Understanding of AstraZeneca’s products - desirable

Education and Certification requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent.
