AstraZeneca (AZ) is now seeking a new Market Ethics Head to join the Nordic Marketing Company (Nordic) and lead the Nordic Market Ethics team. In this position you get offered the possibility to foster a culture of innovation and collaboration as well as communicate, develop and role model AZ culture and AZ Values & Behaviours. The Market Ethics Head is a permanent member of the local Compliance Committee and of the Medical-Regulatory Leadership team.

At AstraZeneca we are committed to put patients first, deliver innovative health solutions and ensure a high medical value for patients. As Market Access Head, you will contribute to AstraZeneca’s business by taking account for the strategic direction, deliveries, business and resource planning of the Market Ethics Team within the Nordic region.  

The Market Ethics Head directs and supports to assure operational effectiveness and efficiencies through a continuous improvement approach in addition to ensure optimal use of resources to support our portfolio. This includes taking responsibility for sign-off process, including activities, materials and relevant non promotional material from a market ethical point of view compliant with rules, regulation, practice and internal policies.

In this role you will partner with multidisciplinary functions across the Nordic Marketing Company (Nordic), such as the region and local cross-functional team to give input to relevant strategies and deliver against agreed targets.  

This role reports to VP Medical and Regulatory. 

What you will do 

  • Engage with key external and internal stakeholders across the Nordic countries  
  • Ensure that the marketing company follow ethical standards in all activities and materiel, including develop processes and conduct training and coaching of relevant employees.  
  • Accountable for the ethical interaction process, sign-off process, contract templates, champion the efpia transparency process and market ethics complaint handling process  
  • Provide regular updates to organisation on deliveries, compliance and propose mitigation to any relevant issues.  
  • Collect insight in areas of responsibilities and communicate actionable items to internal stakeholders as appropriate  
  • Resource optimisation and organisational effectiveness  
  • Contribute as a member of various local, regional and global workstreams as appropriate.  
  • Lead and manage change initiatives as needed in the field to enable positive business outcomes 
  • Demonstrate on-going scientific and business expertise relevant to the AZ portfolio

We are looking for an individual holding a master’s degree in Pharmacy or Natural Sciences or has extensive knowledge within the field. Extensive experience in medical and/or marketing with specific emphasis on Market Ethics is a strong advantage. 

Essential requirements 

  • Possesses business-oriented thinking (broad business acumen), and can apply this without compromising the science  
  • Proven ability to understand, assimilate and communicate scientific information   
  • Ability to build strong professional relationships internally and externally  
  • Structured and organized   
  • High ethical standard 

You must be proficient in both written and spoken English and at least one of the Nordic languages.
