Purpose of Role:
This role supports the Market Insights Team and Marketing Department through data management, standardized reporting, and ad hoc data analysis. This associate will collaborate with Marketing Insights, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and other functional teams within Mars Petcare to develop brand Flywheels and plan for brand growth. This individual will be responsible for maintaining monthly reporting that provides a lens into the business for executive and category leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Is considered the expert on market (channel, brands, etc.) trends within the Marketing Team
- Utilizes multiple data sources to create a full understanding of the market; will utilize Nielsen, IRI, GfK, and other sources
- Maintains recurring market reports for executive and category leadership teams
- Helps develop clear and concise summaries of data trends and communicates trends to stakeholders as appropriate
- Drives completion of Flywheel program and brand planning through multi-functional collaboration and data analytics
- Delivers value-added insights to ad hoc business questions

- Prior experience working with Nielsen/IRI/GfK data sources, or other primary data sources from internal reporting systems.

What are we looking for?
Minimum Qualifications
• Experience which demonstrates problem solving and analytic capabilities and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross functional team environment
• 1+ years working experience and/or internship experience in analytics
• Four-year college degree
Preferred Qualifications
• MBA
• Experience with Tableau or other BI tools; proficiency with SQL, Python, and/or other programming languages
• Demonstrated ability to manage big data sets, combine multiple data sources, and leverage sources to analyze data and make appropriate recommendations
• Prior experience working with Nielsen/IRI/GFK data sources, or other primary data sources from internal reporting systems
• Proficiency with SQL, Python, and/or other programming languages
• Dashboard & Report building in Tableau and PowerBI
• Curiosity and passion for solving business problems as well as analyzing data
• Self-directed, motivated, organized and able to handle multiple projects at once
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced, ambiguous environment
