Job Description

Are you interested in joining the new Intel Market Intelligence Team which partners with Intel global business units to meet their industry research needs? Are you a collaborative information profession with an execution-oriented mindset who loves to research a wide range of industry topics, conduct competitive intelligence, and provide analysis based upon solid research best practices? We're looking for a dynamic information professional with corporate experience to join this quickly growing team chartered with an ambitious goal of meeting Intel's increasing need for technical, business, and market intelligence research.

The Reference/Research professional will report to the Market Intelligence Manager and will support Intel through best-in-class research services utilizing internal resources, and externally licensed information. The role will primarily perform quick reference and custom research in the areas of business, competitive, and industry intelligence. Additionally, this role will contribute to the team's marketing, training, and content acquisition efforts and will conduct ongoing technology and platform evaluations. The role will also work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to establish current awareness solutions through the use of search tools and alerting strategies, utilizing a suite of expert resources.

Responsibilities

  •   Research business, industry, technologies, and companies through the utilization of a variety of business, industry, and technology market resources.

  • Quickly compile and synthesize research, briefings, and other content for a range of audiences, supporting critical business and research needs. 


Required Skills

  •   Ability to perform business, industry, and general research using a variety of information systems, tools, and databases.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of the research interview.

  • Demonstrated experience with an integrated library system/library management platform 
  •   Knowledge and experience in using Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Quickly distill complex information, draw out the key points and make clear, tangible recommendations based on assimilation and analysis. 
  • Assist in monitoring information requests for reference, research, training, and information tool troubleshooting. 
  • Proactively engage with teams and stakeholders across multiple business areas to understand research needs and develop actionable and sustainable solutions. 
  • Engage stakeholders across the company to understand their custom research needs and develop actionable and sustainable solutions. 
  • Establish and maintain effective tracking strategies and systems for conducting business intelligence searches to support and monitor business and technology trends and developments. 
  • Work to define and maintain custom current awareness initiatives through stakeholder engagement, search strategy development, and evaluation of new technologies. 
  • Compile, produce, and deliver newsletters 
  • Assist in ensuring continued discovery and access to library collections through library material acquisition, subscription renewals, cancellations, and troubleshooting access to electronic resources. 
  • Work with the manager to refine and develop policies and procedures as appropriate 
  • Assist in identifying, evaluating, and recommending new research resources 
  • Conduct focused trainings for teams and individuals on research tools, methodologies, and best practices. 
  •   Collaborate with team members to drive internal outreach and marketing initiatives, expanding awareness and increasing impact throughout the organization.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Qualifications listed as preferred or additional will be considered a plus factor for applicants.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • An ALA accredited master's degree in Librarianship (MLS/MLIS), (or equivalent) library science or information science program. 
  • 2+' experience providing research and instructional services. 
  • 1+ year of experience in working in corporate libraries, knowledge centers, or competitive intelligence teams focused on engineering, software, sciences, business topics, and global markets. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills and excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. 
  •   Proven project management skills with the ability to take a project from conception through completion with minimal supervision.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$91,500.00-$137,140.00

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
