Summary
The Market Manager, Microelectronics Asia-Pacific for Materion Advanced Materials (AM) identifies and anticipates significant market opportunities for growth. The role will be responsible to accelerate AM’s growth in the regional microelectronics market, serving as the primary market expert and strategist.
The incumbent will work in collaboration with Sales, Product Management, R&D and, Customer Technical Support to identify growth opportunities, contribute to the long-term technology roadmap, and discover new revenue generation sources.
This role will leverage an expert understanding of the industry to create market demand, generate prospects, build a high, wide, and deep contact list in the market, identify emerging trends and customer needs, identify regulatory changes to aid in the acquiring of new customers and new sources of demand for AM products. The role will define and establish forward looking / sustainable competitive advantages and forecast accurately.
Primary Responsibilities
Delivers targeted top line growth, working collaboratively with sales, product management, other industry / marketing leaders, R&D and customer service.
Works with Product Line Leaders and Regional Sales leaders to manage existing sales and drive growth of new business with new/existing products and new/existing customers.
Develops a long-term strategy and execute a yearly business plan to support the aggressive annual growth and profit objectives of the assigned Industry segment.
Creates market strategy playbook, including approach for where and how AM will grow strategic accounts; determines product placement opportunities
Identifies and articulates Materion's approach for growing the identified market, to include a price / performance analysis on market opportunity attractiveness
Develops deep market understanding to develop competitive intelligence and contribute to overall business strategy centered on technology differentiation and value-pricing.
Serves as primary source and driver of the assigned industry information leading to market specific strategy development.
Develops and maintains an Industry specific ideation product funnel for R&D
Develops a regulatory map of key legislation that will impact specific industry and determine whether this creates opportunities for challenges for AM and our products, etc.
Be an active participant in NBO identification and create the strategy and focus to convert these opportunities into revenue.
Analyze and suggest new market segments for company based upon analysis of company capabilities and market requirements.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, finance or engineering is required.
Master’s degree strongly preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 8 years progressive experience in market management, product marketing and/or product management
Demonstrated experience in developing and executing market strategy with a strong track record for sustained growth.
Experience in one or more of the following markets: Semiconductors, Radio or Microwave devices, Electronics Packaging, Hermetic enclosures
