Job Description
This internship will be a unique chance to launch your future career, giving you an insight into various sectors of event organization and the business world in general, and enabling you to interact with numerous private corporations and governmental entities, as well as professionals with very diverse backgrounds and activities.
Given the limited resources of SwissCham, the internship position is unpaid but a limited allowance can be offered.
Overview
• Duration of internship: 3 - 6 months
• A challenging assignment in an international environment
• An opportunity to brush up your international social skills and learn about China
• Very interesting work environment with interesting networking possibilities
• Working with a young, dynamic, multinational and multicultural team
Required skills
• Good communication skills both in oral and written English. Chinese, German, French and/or Italian would be an asset.
• Good IT skills, familiar with most common software programs. Basic graphic design skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to details, service oriented with positive working attitude and professional behavior.
• A team player, open, honest and hard working with passion for an organization committed to service but non-profit-oriented.
Preferred experience
Experience in event or project management, marketing and media. Asian studies, social & economic sciences, hospitality school graduates preferred.
The tasks include:
• Supporting the Marketing Manager: Organization of events, product development and communication
• Supporting the Chief Editor of the quarterly business magazine The Bridge, mainly to acquire advertisers, contact partners and support the production process
• Marketing tasks including working on the member benefit program
• Supporting the team with the sponsoring and membership database management
• Provide support for the members of the Chamber with Email and phone follow up
