Eaton’s Electrical Critical Power & Digital Infrastructure Division is currently seeking a Marketing Communications Specialist to join our team. This position can be based at our Raleigh, NC facility or can be based remotely. All candidates must currently reside within the United States and must work out of a United States remote location. Relocation benefits will be provided for those interested within the United States only. Position Overview: The Marketing Communications Specialist will focus on all creating relevant content focused on reaching our IT, data center and other audiences. This marketer should understand that humanizing B2B experiences and developing creative, personalized content is not only a better user experience but will positively impact lead generation. The person will be given freedom to work with subject matter experts, do first-hand research, and suggest experimental campaigns and ideas. The right candidate should be able to balance team and agency collaboration with independent projects, while not being hindered by ambiguity or multitasking. The Specialist will report to the Sr. Marketing Communications Manager and collaborate with the extended Campaign/Demand team as well as Product Marketing, Channel Marketing, Product Managers and leadership to deploy and report out on programs and best practices. More than anything, our team is looking for someone who is excited to test new things with calculated risk in order to learn and grow. Perhaps you’ve been at a small company, wearing many hats and feel you lack the resources and collaboration to take programs to the next level. This job may be right for you. In this function you will: Develop audience-focused and market-based messaging and content with an emphasis on search engine optimization, social media amplification and an enhanced digital experience. Guide the development and promotion of customer success stories. Manage video content, including topic selection, script development, video production, promotion and internal/external communications. Produce website content, collateral, presentations and other sales tools with a focus on digital enablement for both end users and resellers. Mine industry publications, websites and social media for creative content and promotional opportunities. Contribute to event planning and execution. Write and edit heavy volume of communications, including emails, collateral and creative copy. Research personas and understand target audiences to ensure Eaton delivers on customer expectations. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Minimum of three (3) years marketing and/or communications experience. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, English, Communications, Business or other related field from an accredited institution. Minimum of five (5) years marketing and/or communications experience. Experience with marketing IT, technical or complex topics. SEO and SEM experience. Marketing technology experience preferred like Microsoft Office, content management systems, CRM (Salesforce.com or similar), Adobe design suite, video tools, social media platforms and tools (Hootsuite). Position Success Criteria: Innovative, creative, and collaborative. Self-starter with a digital mindset. Skillful at communicating and progressing projects with a variety of different stakeholders and subject matter experts. Proven track record in creative project execution, project management and working under deadlines. Organizational skills, written communications, creativity.
