Job Description

 

In a context of growth - geographical expansion, new offers launched, internal and/or external growth - you will join the marketing team whose mission is to raise and grow 55’s brand awareness. Your role will be to adapt the marketing and PR strategy to the local context, and to conduct all marketing and PR activities in the APAC region in order to help 55 emerge as a major, premium partner for brands willing to excel in the digital age. Your actions will target a variety of groups including prospects, customers, journalists and influencers, candidates, employees and competitors.

You will work closely with the Managing Director for APAC and the Marketing team based in Paris to whom you will report. You will also be in charge of ensuring a smooth communication and efficient collaboration with the Paris-based marketing team.

Your tasks and objectives may include the following:

PR & communication

  • Manage 55’s digital presence on local (as well as China-specific) platforms (paid and owned): WeChat, Weibo, Baidu, corporate website ( and .com)... Identify new communications channels if relevant.www.fifty-five.cn

  • Build and execute the PR action plan, taking into account the major events that relate to our business, and investigate on potential PR partnerships

  • Produce PR material: prepare press releases, articles, newsletters, etc. Coordinate the translation of existing marketing material into Mandarin.

  • Identify reference industry awards and competitions, and prepare applications.

  • Coordinate content production and publication on our blog, , and help grow its audience and provide feedback to improve the platform.the tea house

 

Event organisation

  • Identify industry events in the marketing and tech scene, where 55 could get involved as a speaker and/or a sponsor ; coordinate speaking opportunities.

  • Organise events and webinars to support sales and grow brand awareness among prospects and clients. Monitor and follow up on related leads. 

  • Help the teams build lasting relationships with existing customers (dedicated content or trainings, client gifts etc.)

 

Branding & positioning 

  • Localize or produce marketing material to present 55 and our offers, such as case studies, client stories, studies, white papers, videos, and other relevant forms of sales material.

  • Keep abreast of the industry and competitors’ news - data marketing, brandtech, analytics, digital transformation, machine learning & artificial intelligence, digital advertising…

  • Identify relevant influencers, and build a sustainable relationship with them, such as joining or building think tanks, networks, clubs, events, etc.

  • Participate in the local adaptation of the graphic identity of the 55 brand if needed. Find and manage partners to produce communication assets in accordance with this identity.

 

Your profile

  • You are curious, autonomous, versatile, and willing to learn (a lot!). 

  • You like to do different things not only with your brain, but also with your hands, and you not afraid of getting your hands dirty. You are well organised and comfortable with dealing with multiple projects at the same time. 

  • You are deeply interested in learning how the digital and advertising industry works.

  • Analytical, rigorous, detail-oriented and creative. You have a real knack for communicating, you love to play with the nuances of words and writing in general, you always pay attention to the smallest details. You also have a graphic eye for symmetry and harmony.

  • Education and experience

    • University Bachelor or Master’s degree (Business, Digital, Literature, Languages, Journalism, Arts, etc.) or self taught with valuable experience relevant for the position

    • 2-4 years experience in either

      • marketing, communication and/or branding, B2C or B2B

      • digital and creative industry or start-up with a strong digital culture

  • Skills and competencies

    • Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English - both written and oral. French is a plus.

    • Excellent writing and copywriting skills - context analysis, synthesis, etc.

    • Event organisation

    • Experience with webanalytics (Google Analytics), SEA, social advertising, community management, design (Photoshop) and emailing software.

Salary & benefits
