The Challenge:
Responsible for running DRF marketing communication in APAC in the context of DRF global strategy
Contribute to the roll-out of DRF Purpose
Promote and defend the reputation of the company
Increase customer perception using our value drivers, our products and activities towards customers, employees, media and other target groups
Aligned with the regional plan, promotion tactics, and global strategy, manage to meet expense budget by following the working process
Responsible for running DRF WeChat Platform and other social media/traditional media, which means facilitate communication of content and value proposition of our solutions into the market
External communication within Waterborne Platform China and other platforms and alliances.
Internal contact with DRF Segment Marketing, Business Development, Sales, Application about feedback and info of marketing activities, brochures update, etc.
Internal contact with Europe on media/publication/event topics using service by 3rd parties.
Varieties in stakeholder and trifles, at the same time to be creative.
The Position:
First:
Accelerate the change to sustainable living solutions and other valuable DRF solutions in APAC by supporting related projects and following market communication-related work process and streams.
Aligned with the regional plan, promotion tactics, and global strategy, manage to meet expense budget by following the regional working process.
Collaborating with DRF Segment Marketing, Business Development, Sales, Application and build relations with external stakeholders to create examples of solutions and use that in promotional activities.
Set up contacts with governmental bodies to advice government on possibilities around the change to sustainable solutions.
Install an annual DSM Sustainability Award for best performance in resins in APAC, including all promotional activities around it.
Install an annual DSM Best Paper Award for the best technical paper on waterborne Technology/other technology during the China-coat Conference, including all promotional activities around it.
Organize promotional activities around DRF sustainable solutions in APAC, such as seminars, conferences, articles, advertisements, Press Release etc.
Collaborating with DRF Segment Marketing, Business Development, Sales, Application, contact customers/end-users, paint associations, and universities, to maintain/ support industry platform/alliance for cooperation to accelerate the change to sustainable solutions in APAC
Later:
Collaborate with global and local teams, facilitate content marketing and Issue marketing, make invisible solution visible through communication channels.
Contribute to the global communication strategy of the business group. Develop and manage brand equity of the business unit in APAC.
Realize the Communication objectives of the business group in an efficient way.
Plan, organize and manage activities such as advertising, trade fairs, literature, events, media relations, etc. within the agreed planning and budgets and in line with the global communication strategy of the business unit.
Deliver a creative input in the development of a consistent business unit image for all industries which is reflected in all publicity activities.
Develop and maintain good working relations within and outside the organization in order to have effective communication lines to customers, organizations, institutes, and employees.
Advise management about regulation/policies related to the DRF activities of the organization.
Help management inform and motivate employees by identifying and providing the means of communication and provide the methods for recruitment and introduction of new staff.
Assess and advise the business unit management of the effects of communication in APAC and the opinion about the business unit, recommending action where appropriate.
Ensure that the business unit has a good working relationship with the local communities with which it works, e.g. neighbours, local authorities, schools, etc.
Establish and manage the budget and services required to implement the above.
Be responsible for the production of technical literature systems for APAC including translations, visual aspects, updating, etc. based on technical content/data input from Industry Managers and from the colleagues in the Communication organization.
Be responsible for the maintenance of the APAC sections of the business unit internet and intranet websites.
Coordinate the organization of customer seminars.
Supervise the publication of an employee magazine for APAC.
Gain confidence and support of a wide range of people in all functions and ensure assess to all information needed for the job.

The Ideal:
The job demands a professional approach and a wide knowledge of all promotional techniques that comes only from 5-10 years of experience in B2B or B2C marketing communication.
The techniques used include direct mail, www, trade press traditional advertising, social media solutions and exhibitions, video/film, literature, and gifts selection.
The job holder must be creative both as (s)he shows the value of publicity in channels needs to business teams and in his/her work with agencies. Creativity in this sense is the development of pictorial and written concepts suitable for the medium selected and meeting the needs of the business team.
The jobholder interacts with many people at all levels within the organization as well as with external suppliers and customers. (S)he needs good interpersonal skills as (s)he needs to influence these contacts towards the achievement of his/her objectives. (S)he should have the agility to learn and adopt to new things, leveraging channels to efficient communication.
The jobholder requires interpersonal skills to communicate and convince management and persons outside DSM about certain issues. Be Authentic and have a good sense in appreciation, to have better internal personal communications.
