KEY RESPONSIBILITIES SUMMARY:

The Marketing Communications Manager is primarily responsible for authoring of content for the content marketing mix, including authoring of white papers, articles, blogs, website content, presentations, social media, and public relations content to drive in-bound marketing campaigns. In this role, the MarCom Manager will project manage and author the content to support the overall strategic content editorial plan and schedule. The ideal candidate can translate our digital strategy into strong, compelling, narrative-driven content that works on multiple platforms and will develop and implement multifaceted content marketing lead generation and nurturing campaigns to capture, qualify, score, and nurture leads that result in dollars to pipeline.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Effectively write, create and deliver overall marketing content and promotion mix, including, but not limited to thought-leadership content, including white papers, articles, multi-media, presentations, website, social media, newsletters, blogs, and public relations content
  • Write, issue, and manage content on a variety of social media channels, including paid social, and manage SPROUT, a social media platform management tool
  • Write, issue, and manage content for the blogging to support the editorial calendar
  • Measure and optimize publishing according to strategic marketing goals and interpret analytics and set performance benchmarks
  • Be a constant brand and messaging steward and ensure consistency within the organization and externally
  • Conducts interviews and voice of customer calls/meetings with appropriate stakeholders to gain subject matter content exchange and inputs necessary to generate content communications
  • Work closely with team members to strategize, create and execute lead nurturing content marketing campaigns, including email marketing campaigns and industry advertising campaigns
  • Drive relevant consumers with the goal of improving brand recognition [and] trust and ultimately drive committed involvement in our community. Utilize digital tools to collect voice of customer data to ensure client/customer satisfaction and to drive website traffic and acquire engaged followers and content consumers.
  • Develop and implement multifaceted content marketing lead generation and nurturing campaigns to capture, qualify, score, and nurture leads that result in dollars to pipeline
  • Recommend and implement best practices for content marketing, landing pages, webinars, segmentation, and lead management
  • Uses performance information with data insights and recommendations on optimizing the campaign marketing mix to increase the ROI on marketing efforts and spend by identifying what works and what does not. A/B testing and experience with audience development and persona-based segmentation useful
  • Deliver personalized campaigns with unique content/data specific to individual prospects
  • Manage relationships/collaborate with agencies, trade media, and other vendor partners, as necessary

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • BA or BS degree in marketing, communications or journalism required, MBA preferred.
  • 8-10 years of experience in B2B marketing communications, marketing or public relations, preferably with experience working in industry, technology or services
  • Experience writing and delivering the overall marketing and promotion mix, including, but not limited to thought-leadership content, multi-media, presentations, video, website, social media, events, and public relations
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with colleagues, clients, and partners, building confidence at all levels
  • Experience with HubSpot CRM, SAP Cloud for Sales or other CRM technology
  • SEO, PPC, and SEM experience
  • At least 2 years of experience and creativity in social media with a strong, multi-platform portfolio, including experience with management of LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, and SPROUT, a social media platform management tool
  • PC literacy with proficiency with Microsoft Office, TEAMS and other PC based systems, as well as WordPress, blogging tools, and social media.
  • Knowledge of and experience with graphic design software preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to plan short and long-term activities and ensure deliverables are met on-time and with accuracy
  • A go getter who can take full ownership of assigned projects using experience and interpersonal skills and can work independently
  • Ability to comprehend and deliver critical and complex information to a variety of audiences in a credible and presentable way and can challenge and be challenged in intellectual debate
  • Ability to connect and create strong working relationships with colleagues, clients, and partners who may work virtually

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

10 – 20% domestic U.S. and some international trips may be required.
