Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Avery Dennison is seeking a Marketing Communications Specialist to join the Label and Graphic Materials Marketing organization. The Marketing Communications Specialist will partner with marketing, sales management and other key business unit stakeholders. The successful candidate will plan, execute, monitor and evaluate marketing communications programs and campaigns using an appropriate combination of internal and external resources to support overall business objectives.

The ideal candidate will have experience with B2B marketing and building strategy/tactics from market research. They will have demonstrated the  ability to transform an annual business strategy for a large segment of a business into a marketing and communication strategy. They will have a very in-depth experience of executing product launches, campaigns and marketing tactics to support their plan, as well as measuring and analyzing success. They will have a proven track record of relationship-building with agencies, as well as leadership of teams, projects and/or people. They will also have a degree in communications, marketing, public relations, advertising or journalism.

A strong internal candidate has been identified. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Work with the Marcomm Manager to deliver and execute comprehensive marketing communications plans across channels (events, digital/social media, direct marketing, and PR) in collaboration with the broader marketing organization and leadership to support key business objectives; 

  2. Ensure there is an integrated approach to all Marketing Communications (MarComm) activity which is aligned and consistent with the global team; 

  3. Collaborate, develop and drive regional MarComm activity that is on brand and in alignment with the global strategy; 

  4. Assist in the management and implementation of the events calendar with all regional marketing events and activities; 

  5. Develop event plans and manage the execution and successful delivery of activity ensuring all key stakeholders are aligned; 

  6. Collaborate with respective teams/parties to collect metrics on the activities, and prepare relevant reports to evaluate the success of activities and identify improvement opportunities; 

  7. Develop and prepare social media calendars, support social media activity by writing, developing and/or proofing content for WeChat, and liaise with Global Communication team on relevant postings; 

  8. Write, proofread and edit copy for a variety of marketing and communications collateral; 

  9. Asset and content creation to promote the business and solutions to the relevant target markets including factory and brand owner customers; 

  10. Manage content/editorial translations as required; 

  11. Draft and submit project briefs to Creative team that are clear, complete and actionable; 

  12. Ensure consistency of brand messaging and communication across all activity; 

  13. Support website content updates; 

  14. Support compiling monthly marketing Intelligence report from internal and external resources; 

  15. Ensure all activities are executed to plan and within budget.

Qualifications

  • University graduate with major in Marketing/PR/Business Administration or equivalent
  • 1-3 years working experience in Marketing 
  • Prior experience in working with regional marketing team or sizable multi-national company is preferred 
  • Able to work well with a team as well as independently, multitask and meet tight deadlines 
  • Cheerful and outgoing personalities with good organizational skills 
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin 
  • Able to travel up to 15% of the time as required.
