Duties and responsibilities:

• Identifies and approaches external channels and candidates for recruitment, in cooperation with HR.

• Strategically finds sources for potential staff members, such as universities and professional bodies overseas

• Is active in Shanghai-based expat forums (e.g. Internations, Shanghai Mamas) and relevant LinkedIn groups (Chinese and international) to spread the word about recruitment opportunities Creates proposals for strategically placed advertisements or event attendance, using budget effectively to target potential staff

• Prepare, proofread, and publish content-related marketing activities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, web presence, social media, analysis, search engine optimization, advertising, print materials, and branding. Work with Marketing Supervisor to develop messaging and implement content strategy.

• Liaise with other department staff for marketing coverage, e.g. interviews, photography, content production and approval.

• Produce internal marketing materials, such as internal event invitations, yearbook, policy documents, and forms.

• Manages social media presence, working with Marketing Specialist.

• Assists in organizing and logistics for marketing and training events.

• Represent ELG externally at community and professional events, including identifying and registering for events.

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• Excellent computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

• Minimum 2 years of marketing experience

• Native English speaker with strong writing and proofreading skills; Mandarin and other language skills (especially French and German) are desired

• First aid certificate preferred
