Marketing Data Associate

Job Description
Key responsibilities:
● Identify, analyze and interpret data for marketing campaigns, including customer retention and acquisition, audience selection, and measure campaign effectiveness.
● Develop algorithms and interpret patterns to make recommendations that will: increase sales and identify efficiencies for the marketing & sales team
● Communicate business insights to improve positioning, image, and value of the brand

What you will do:
● Identify and collect primary and secondary data variables to holistically assess marketing challenges and opportunities
● Independently pull and manipulate data to determine results and develop data visualizations into relevant conclusions
● Executes set up and data pull for analyzing various marketing programs including A/B testing
● Identify and set up processes for data quality checks. Review relevant data sets and analysis to develop detailed and informed insights and implications to inform strategy and decisions
● Organize insights, data, and visualizations into comprehensive stories for distribution to leadership partners in support of internal business decisions
● Provide ad hoc and regular reports on key business metrics
● Review analysis with the manager and team members, and provide guidance to ensure understanding

Position Requirements
● At least a Bachelor’s Degree; a Masters’ Degree is a bonus – degrees in statistics, mathematics, business is preferred
● Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written – native English speakers preferred.
● Other languages are appreciated, especially Mandarin
● Proficient computer skills and familiarity with research and statistical software, such as SQL, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google AdWords, FedStats, Excel
● Basic SQL and SAS skills
● Basic experience with Tableau/Visualization Software Experience
● Strong analytical skills to work with large amounts of data, see through the data and analyze it to find conclusions
● Strong critical thinking skill; must look at the numbers, trends, and data and come to new conclusions based on the findings
● Attention to detail; data is precise, data analysts must ensure they are vigilant in their analysis to come to correct conclusions
● Math skills to estimate numerical data
● Excellent communication skills to present findings or translate data into easily understandable documents
● Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines and exceed expectations
● Self-motivated and goal oriented, having a great “can do” attitude
● Cross-culture appreciation and ability to work in an international team
