Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a Marketing Development Specialist to join our team in the Waters. The Marketing development Specialist has responsibility for executing vertical marketing strategy, content, and sales team training for the market. This position will help build and nurture the Waters brand and utilize customer needs to gauge and formulate action plans. The position is an integral part of the global marketing team and is a key interface with divisional marketing, strategic marketing, product marketing, commercial and regional teams. They support marketing planning and provide a view into strategic vertical market opportunities.

Typical tasks of the position include, but are not limited to

  • Product positioning
  • Monitoring competitor activity
  • Create and implement a territory plan for driving new sales opportunities.
  • Identify and secure new instrument placement opportunities in line with customer sales policy.
  • Work in close with the Sales, Service and Solution centre Teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Provide timely reports on customer contact and lead generation through use the of CRM.
  • Must exhibit a high degree of initiative and creativity, good judgment, and professional ethics
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Must be highly organized, able to prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Desire to provide solutions for a wide variety of clients including clinical targets, Pharm, and Materials clientele
  • Must possess strong leadership skills to work effectively both independently and as a team

The successful candidate will have a combination of knowledge, skills, and experience that would include the following

  • 2+ years of experience in Strategic Selling Skills (Executive Selling, Solution Selling)
  • Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Industry and Market Knowledge
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills as well as Interpersonal and Presentation Skills
  • Teaming/Collaboration Skills (resource management and team leadership)
  • Minimum a Bachelor Degree in chemistry, bio- or biochemistry or related Sciences.
  • LC-MS knowledge or experience
  • Strong knowledge of analytical laboratory requirements
  • Proven ability to communicate with and influence external and internal stake holders
  • Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
