The aim of this role is to take customer-centric approach to enhance relationships with researchers. This role needs to understand the motivations and desires of scholarly researchers and use these insights to craft attractive messages that demonstrate the value of T&F services. This role is responsible for the implementation of a full range of marketing activities in China, to achieve business goals. Using analysis of existing opportunity data, external institutional data resources, and personal market research, the Marketing Executive will work closely with internal stakeholders on delivering a superior researcher experience and on growing revenue.

Job Description

What you'll be doing: 
Your job responsibilities include the following but not limited to:

  • Investigating and analyzing what types of content and messaging works at different stages of researcher life cycle
  • Implementing marketing campaigns to engage researchers through ongoing and organized campaigns via offline and online channels
  • Presenting analysis and information in meetings and providing an understanding of the customer, target markets, and sales expectations 
  • Carrying out customer and market research through academic conferences and feeding outcomes into strategic data driven plans 
  • Using customer data and insights to drive informed decisions and plans 
  • Contributing to team and departmental objectives, as required. Support the Marketing Manager in planning and implementing subject/channel or team level projects/campaigns.

 

Qualifications

What we're looking for: 

  • Publishing industry background strongly preferred but not a must
  • Successful experience in managing a product portfolio or customer channels
  • Excellent skills in marketing copywriting
  • Strong commercial acumen and an awareness of keeping up to date with current market trends
  • Able to work in collaboration with colleagues globally with effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong Data analytics capability
  • Proven ability to grow and nurture customer or partner relationships 
  • Demonstrated initiatives in continuous learning by identifying and developing skill gaps 
  • Good command of written and spoken English, comfortable working in a cross-cultural global platform and English working environment
  • Degree level or equivalent professional qualification
