Job Grade : Mid-Senior Management level

 

Purpose Statement

To support Senior Marketing Finance Manager in providing financial analysis & insights as a part of the Area team ensuring focus on effective pricing & excise and trade margin strategies, competitor intelligence and revenue recognition. Furthermore supporting the marketing as a business partner providing advice on resource allocation, brand and trade spend effectiveness, benefits tracking and ensuring marketing governance and controls are in place

 

Key Accountabilities:

Business

  • Identity Pricing and Excise opportunities through multiple scenarios preparation and conduct P&E committee on a regular basis to get the alignment with key stakeholders through the forum
  • Support the establishment of performance management process to ensure resource is properly allocated to utilize business opportunities and growth, as well as to ensure Marketing Finance Governance in place
  • Ensure competitor intelligence and financial information is prepared with sounded assumption along with the updated market dynamics and available external information to support decision making for senior management team
  • Support Key account negotiation on pricing, trade margin, terms, and visibility through feasible plans and scenarios preparation to ensure Total Customer Investment achieving the objective
  • Drive the Business planning process which includes ODM, CoPlan and relative others ensuring all documentation, analysis are complete and that financial guidelines are adhered to
  • Support the Senior Marketing Finance Manager in driving Finance projects / cost reduction initiatives as directed from time to time
  • Development and monitoring of Finance Focus Areas/Charter and support Senior Marketing Finance Manager in ensuring delivery
  • Promote a cost consciousness culture within the organisation by seeking smarter ways to spend
  • Seek out opportunities to be efficient and effective as part of continual process improvement

Experience:

  • Minimum five years' experience in tobacco or a similar FMCG category
  • Financial analytical skills such as ROI and NPV to perform/review financial analyses together with the capability to provide commercial insights
  • Understanding company planning process
  • Understanding of marketing strategy, principles, and relevant analytical tools including knowledge on commercial aspects of the business such as Trade & Brand Marketing activities
  • Understanding and knowledge of financial management and systems
