Reporting to manager of PR and Sponsorship. This candidate will take the role as liaison between Company and the other MU related working staff (Company global Man Utd staff, Man Utd HK office, Sports marketing Agency working on MU China marketing etc.) to initiate and develop an annual MU thematic plan for Company China aiming to improve Company brand preference and loyalty in the mind of both users and business customers.
Collaborate with Company Creative Team to initiate and develop MU related marketing assets (VI implementation on all touch points, contents, visuals, brochures etc.)
Develop a guideline of MU marketing implementation in China to be sure that all local application of Company/MU branding discipline are well executed in all marketing communication and activation programs.
Plan and execute Man Utd first team / 3 players China trip at least once a year. Develop a detail proposal with city, timing and details of marketing activation with such topic.
Plan Man Utd Legend players China trip at least once a year. Develop a detail proposal with city, timing and details of marketing activation with such topic.
Plan and execute Man Utd trophy exhibition tour in China
Develop the young player sponsorship plan and execute it based on agreed calendar.
Develop a plan for caddie campaign (select the candidate from Chinese families and sent the candidate to Manchester to attend a premier league/FA Cup and EFL Cup) and execute the plan based on agreed calendar.
Develop a MU digital marketing calendar. Run Company MU thematic column of Company social we chat and weibo in person. Leverage the content from MU official digital platform, MU social account and MU player’s personal social account to edit the contents and feed it on Company official digital platform to realize real time engagement. Build and maintain the Company MU fans pool on all Company digital platform (include of official weibo, official wechat, Company app., Company social account on major EC platforms etc.)
Collaborate with Company professional project channel to plan VIP tours including match watching, stadium tournament and arrangement of coaching program etc..
Collaborate with China local trade marketing team to execute local MU related promotion activities to optimize business impact and leads generation to showroom.
Collaborate with China media team to plan and execute media placement, image usage and online interactive program (quiz, voting etc.) to optimize the media impact and leads generation.
Collaborate with showroom team and creative team to develop the MU application in showroom.
Collaborate with Company Gift department to develop MU related souvenirs for China market program.
Scope is subject to the final marketing program MU-related of that year
Skills/Requirements
1. Personally this person is a fan of Man Utd. He/she has the comprehensive knowledge of football and Man U team/match/marketing programs and assets.
2. Owns the knowledge of sports sponsorship and sports marketing. Over 5 years’ experience on executing sports marketing program and has taken the role of project leader.
3. Strong coordination and communication skill (with bilingual communication capability) are required.
4. Capability of initiative, creativity and ownership are also required.
5. Experience on successful running own social account/taking active role on sports related BBS is preferred and is definitely a strong proof of capability on attracting attention among social environment and generating actions like “comments” “forward” and “like”.
