The Opportunity at AIA

As an Adviser and Partnerships Marketing Manager, you’ll support our distribution channels and will identify, create, lead and deliver market leading strategies and tactics. Success is AIA NZ effectively understanding our partners such as ASB, Air New Zealand and Adviser channels, to meet their needs, plus deliver Business ROI (Revenue, Customer numbers, Market share and IX). You’ll lead and inspire a virtual cross-functional team of Marketers and stakeholders to fully recognise our potential and create envy in the market.

Key responsibilities are to:

  • Create and deliver a high performing partnership leveraging all Marketing tools and channels to deliver maximum value to our Distribution Partners and Customers.
  • Co-create and deliver the strategy and execution of fully integrated B2B and B2C Partner Marketing activities to support growth of existing and new Partners.
  • Leverage existing Marketing Lead Gen, Digital and CRM tools and programs, plus create new marketing automation platforms, to create deeper customer relationships and delivery efficiencies.
  • Grow the ASB and Air New Zealand partnership to create differentiation and engagement from New and Existing Business customers. 
  • Manage and collaborate with senior distribution, product and Australian stakeholders to develop market leading Partner strategy and tactical plans for risk and health products.
  • Manage large, complex projects (people, time, and budget) to execute marketing strategy.
  • Accountable for implementing and maintaining performance measurement programs that align with AIAs core KPI’s, including regular stakeholder reporting.
  • Demonstrate continuous application of key business and consumer insights to address key business challenges or create new opportunities.
  • Act as a thought leader and key influencer within marketing and the wider business, including active virtual team leadership.

Skills and experience required:

  • A kick ass growth and curious mind-set.
  • Digital marketing and agency experience will be needed, along with experience of leading successful Partner marketing initiatives at a senior level in large and complex organisations.
  • Significant B2B and B2C marketing experience in ATL and BTL channels.
  • Clear voice of customer thinking.
  • Strong understanding of specialist marketing functions particularly CRM and Marketing Automation best practices.
  • Experience in dealing with complex products, with large and diverse customer bases.
  • Effectively manage and engage key stakeholders and lead cross functional teams.
  • A healthy balance of Commercial and Creative Marketing experience.
  • Ability to lead large discrete projects and to manage multiple con-current work streams and priorities.
  • Strong understanding of the marketing environment in New Zealand, in the Partner Marketing space.
