Investigates new opportunities for business growth in South Africa. Works with local cross-functional team and regional multi-functional teams to envision, develop and deploy promotional plans, tactics and projects. Works with Associate Product Manager and Sales and Marketing support team to ensure execution at local level to meet product sales and market share objectives. Co-manages promotional budget for franchise/category. Performs infield product training for all Product Specialists. The Team That Makes it Happen: 3 Direct Reports (1 Assoc PM & 2 Admin Resources) PRODUCTS Juvéderm Portfolio BOTOX HarmonyCa (2022 Launch) MAREKTING MANAGER KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 50% Weighting ABBBIE WAYS OF WORK: 50% Weighting % of Time or Importance KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: WEIGHT Meet Market Share Objectives and align strategy to drive sales uptake Participate in the accutare setting of forecasts Ensure in-country promotional budgets are spent to maximum effect and deliver commercial impact to achieve sales and profit objectives. 20% Category Planning and Management Ensure compliance with all local Regulations and internal operating procedures Work with Business Development Manager and Country Manager on ongoing strategic plan for all 3 product portfolios and develop relevant marketing strategy, core campaign and tactics, for implementation in the annual marketing plan. Work with National Sales Manager, AMI Lead, Business Excellence Lead and Area Brand Leads, to ensure plans will meet market needs. Work with Business Excellence Lead to ensure optimum pricing for products as well as commercial policy throughout lifecycle in all markets. Constantly monitor macro-environment for potential impact on business Anticipate and counter competitor strategies across SASS Region. Ensure pre-marketing and launch preparations are completed for new product introductions (HarmonyCa in 2022). Work with Global and Regional marketingleads to ensure Regional needs are understood and supported. Work with Supply Chain to ensure stock levels meet demand. 20% Execute Marketing Strategy Structure and conceptualise on-going marketing capability building programs to ensure the Associate Product Manager and Commercial Support team are equipped with the latest knowledge and skills to support business growth. Focus on building capabilities in the areas of Digital marketing as a key driver for market differentiation and business growth. Build top class launch capabilities across Affiliate to contribute to development of SASS business plan. Ensure execution of local campaigns and activities maximising share growth for the brands. Adapt global marketing materials and develop own SASS materials for use at local level, on an annual basis. Execute materials in marketing forums and media, seeking feedback from custommers and sales team on effectiveness to amend as appropriate. Equip and ensure Sales Managers translate and execute promotional material for country in line with brand / product communication plan. Ensure sales team have a clear understanding and are equipped to roll-out brand strategies Ensure pre-marketing and launch tactics are optimised for new products. Work with Medical Affairs and AMI to plan co-ordinated approaches to overall strategy. Ensure product knowledge of Allergan and competitor brands is consistently updated and relevant. Ensure a basic understanding of digital marketing dynamics and social media marketing regulations 40% Training: • Perform in-field training of all regional sales representatives both ad-hoc and at formal sales meetings 20% Qualifications Education & Experience University degree in science, business or marketing Pharmaceutical / Healthcare marketing and sales experience at a national level Minimum of 2 years marketing experience in Pharmaceutical and/or Medical Device Industry Fluency in English and preferably one other language Strong analytical and financial skills High level of project management experience, ability to manage multiple projects Strong leadership skills Excellent communication and influencing skills Essential Skills, Experience, and Competencies (includes Licenses, Credentials) Committed, credible and enthusiastic with an action-oriented approach and sound current knowledge of the local country healthcare marketplace Demonstrated excellence in Managing key Brand portfolios at a country level. Demonstrated abilities in Cross Functional collaboration and working. Significant capabilities in tracking the latest market tends and generating outside-in perspectives. Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal Strong inter-personal, motivational and influencing skills Self-starter able to operate effectively within a matrix organisation. Excels in a fast paced and dynamic environment; calm under pressure.
