What You’ll Do:
Our ISG Marketing is looking for an experienced IT/ data center marketing
professional with content creation, demand generation, and field marketing
event experience. In this role, you will lead the global marketing initiative
for new and competitive customer acquisition in the Cloud Service Provider
(CSP) market. You will drive the global strategy and execution plan in
support of the participating geography markets. You will partner closely with
geography marketing and sales leaders to drive targeted marketing actions
which help the sales teams build relationships with targeted CSP accounts.
This role draws from your demand generation experience in developing multi-
channel campaigns and events for IT/data center B2B audiences. And, you will
leverage your background in partner ecosystem marketing, content creation, and
account-based marketing to bring the plan to life. This role requires
collaboration across sales, product, customer segment, and peer marketing
teams in each participating geography around the World. And, you will partner
closely with a third party strategic alliance partner as we execute the plan
through the use of market development funds (MDF).
The right person for this role has demonstrated poise and confidence when
working with third party stakeholders. A key to success in this global role is
an ability to consistently and independently engage, plan, execute, and adapt
with an external media publisher, external marketing agencies, and our
strategic alliance partner, while closely collaborating with multiple internal
stakeholders.
What You Will Be Doing
• Translate business and sales objectives for the acquisition of new CSP
customers into a Global CSP marketing strategy and execution plan, including:
o Development of highly engaging content and assets which spark interest from
the target audience
o Development of innovative demand generation plans that will reach the target
audience, including associated marketing tactics, events, and sales plays /
sales follow up plans
o Collaborate with our strategic alliance partner, external agencies, and
geography sales and marketing teams, to optimize funding allocation, creative
content, and messaging, amongst the various lead generation vehicles
• Own field level execution of the end to end marketing strategy and execution
plan within the North American geography
o Partner with other participating geography marketing managers around the
World to ensure execution of the Global CSP marketing strategy and execution
plan that you will develop and own
• Manage an external media publisher, and/or event vendor, and possibly other
supporting agencies, to ensure effective delivery of the plan:
o Lead and manage agency engagements and activities to generate marketing
qualified leads for the acquisition of new cloud service providers
o Continually measure results, and adapt the plan and/or execution as needed,
to ensure optimization of agency performance towards agreed upon metrics
o Oversee all marketing work streams, and own Quality Assurance, to ensure
that all elements of the campaign are accurate prior to launch. This
includes:
Ensuring compliance with third party strategic alliance partner MDF terms
and conditions for funding utilization and post execution reimbursement
Ensure WW created content is accurately loaded to our asset management
systems in a timely manner and available for geography execution
• Partner with the sales organization to ensure effective lead management and
follow up on marketing qualified leads:
o Evaluate funnel conversion, engagement metrics, reject and penetration
rates, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement of results
• Manage the quarterly marketing management system and associated dashboards:
o Participate in defining requirements for CRM infrastructure and campaign
reporting
o Measure and track actual performance towards objectives
o Track MDF (funding) utilization:
Monitor funding utilization & assist with recommendations when under or
over-spending / under-performance occurs
o Responsibility for Lenovo inputs into a shared dashboard with our strategic
alliance partner:
Campaign status, lead status, pipeline reporting, status updates on agreed
upon focus areas, etc.
o Build and deliver an executive level results and status readout on a regular
cadence
#### Position Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
• 5+ years of IT B2B marketing experience
• Experience in data center marketing and/or a cloud service provider
background is required
• Experience developing and executing end to end go to market plans and demand
generation campaigns
• Deep market management skills, with experience executing Account Based
Marketing (ABM) campaigns, is highly desired
• Experience creating, or leading the development of, content and assets
designed for a specific target audience
• Event execution experience, or direct experience contributing to successful
business events
• Understanding of a broad range of marketing activities, disciplines, and
tactics
• Previously demonstrated project management skills
• Experience in managing agency partners to deliver on time and within funded
scope of work agreements
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with alliance partners and the use of MDF funds is highly
desired
• Familiarity with standard marketing performance metrics is preferred
• Self-motivated. Can work independently and proactively to resolve issues and
take ownership for processes
• Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills
• Ability to work with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams
• Ability to work with teams in multiple time zones around the World
• Detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects at the same time
• Team player mentality and a positive “can do” attitude
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
