KEY RESPONSIBILITIES SUMMARY:

As marketing manager, you will enhance Digital Construction Works (DCW) visibility and favorable company image, through marketing activities and events. You will spend 70 percent of your time focused on event planning, event coordination, and event marketing and promotion. Event types include industry conferences and trade shows, DCW hosted events and virtual/digital events. You will use your “can do” attitude and interpersonal skills to maintain strong relationships with organizations and associations, event vendors, venues, related partners, and your colleagues. The strategic side of you will develop the event plan and strategy while the mathematician in you will manage the budget. The creative, fun side of you will manage the event promotion and you will use your competitiveness and drive towards revenue to process event leads with a sense of urgency and sales attention. During the remaining 30% of your time, you will assist or lead other marketing projects and activities, including, but not limited to digital advertising and in bound digital marketing campaigns, social media, and more. 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and update marketing campaign calendar of events, prepare event plans and work with marketing leadership and business development to articulate the event strategy
  • Work with associations, vendors, and venues to negotiate and process agreements and contracts
  • Order all event services and process required paperwork including entering of purchase requisitions in SAP, processing of invoices and management of the event budget
  • Work with marketing leadership on the event promotional plan, including determining which solutions offerings to promote, content for booth graphics, messaging, collateral, etc.
  • Coordinate the promotional efforts related to trade shows and events, including obtaining pre reg list for pre-show promotion, and other sponsorship promotional activities.
  • Write content for pre event, on-site, and post event promotion including email content, digital ad content, and social media content
  • Write content for event landing page and event specific promotional opportunities, such as program listing, workshop descriptions, agendas, and web site listings
  • Coordinate logistics for events, including hiring contractors for the install and dismantle of a trade show booth, organize the shipment and return shipment of the booth, order electric, carpeting, internet or other show/event services.
  • Follow up on trade show results for areas for improvement, update trade show policies and procedures
  • Assist and work with management in preparation of back-end reporting and analysis on budgeting and costs per lead results
  • Ensuring leads are entered and processed the CRM and coordinate with Business Development in an efficient and timely manner
  • Assist or lead other marketing projects and activities, including, but not limited to digital advertising and inbound digital marketing campaigns, social media, and more.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 5-6 years of experience in event planning, management, and execution of conferences, tradeshows and corporate events
  • 8-9 years of experience in marketing promotion, including email marketing, digital advertising, facilitating webinars, social media
  • Excellent communication skills and relationship management skills and able to work with a broad array of constituents
  • Critical thinking, high attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and able to identify and resolve problems quickly
  • Must be team-oriented, approachable, highly organized, and flexible to assist others
  • Ability to effectively translate marketing strategy and campaign objectives into creative show/event platforms
  • Operate under minimal supervision, with wide latitude for independent decisions

 

COMPUTER LITERACY:  

  • MS Office 365 including Word, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP or other purchasing software experience, HubSpot for Inbound Marketing, Webinar Hosting Platforms such as ON24, WordPress, and Social Media Tools

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:  

  • BA or BS Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or Business

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Approximately 30% travel to provide on-site management of events
