TAGRISSO launched in 2016 and has been greeted with success and enthusiasm by customers and patients alike. But the journey has not been without its challenges and as we embark on year 4 of TAGRISSO in Canada, we have made tremendous strides in the identification and management of patients in the 1L and 2L metastatic EGFR NSCLC settings. As we look to the future with new indications and driving incremental business in our current areas of focus, taking a strong patient centric approach and truly understanding the leakage points, barriers – and more importantly – the opportunities along the patient and tissue journeys are crucial. Building our capability and expertise in reaching out to HCPs and patients in news ways will be critical to the success of our business and brand. As a result, we are looking for a new marketing manager for TAGRISSO that will help support our core FLAURA (1L EGFRm+ NSCLC) indication along with market development and digital lead.

Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager- TAGRISSO, the successful candidate will work within brand on ensuring the successful execution for our FLAURA indication and above brand to drive customer and patient engagement, connection and empowerment in new ways. This role reflects our intent and commitment to driving better patient outcomes through collaboration and education. We believe this will help drive more educated and empowered patients that can have robust discussions with their HCP about their unique treatment journey across the spectrum of lung cancer disease. We believe this can be done through traditional methods, but that it can be enhanced and accelerated through digital channels.

You will help lead the internal cross-functional alignment and coordination of customer-focused activity plans, ensuring appropriate reach and impact of customer-facing activities; developing the digital strategy and executing plans to help activate physicians to appropriately identify and refer patients to specialists for diagnosis and optimal treatment. You will deliver best in class digital strategies, tactics and tools for the TAGRISSO team and will build a digital approach to existing brand tactics and strategies using new insights to lead the development of comprehensive product plans to positively impact the value of AstraZeneca’s TAGRISSO and Lung portfolio.

Role & responsibilities:

  • Build, lead and execute customer marketing activities to promote TAGRISSO’s FLAURA indication with key customers
  • Co-coordinate the strategic and tactical planning processes for TAGRISSO to drive success over the short and longer-term
  • Lead and develop a cross-functional digital strategy and tactical plan embedded within overall TAGRISSO plan
  • Partner with key external experts to build relationships, elevate our leadership position in lung oncology and ultimately improve care for patients
  • Collaborate with the internal global and local TAGRISSO team to build, lead, execute and amplify strategies and tactics to increase interactions and engagement with key external contacts (eg. primary care physicians, specialists, policy and payer managers, patient advocacy groups)
  • Drive a robust understanding of the patient pathway and HCPs who treat or refer by triangulating key information sources (e.g. Internal cross-functional partners, Insights, etc.)
  • Support TAGRISSO’s digital reach by successfully using and improving existing digital capabilities & channels through the sales force, resulting in positive customer experiences
  • Positively influence brand performance and profitability while controlling promotional expenses

Skills & capabilities:

Qualifications include:

  • University degree or equivalent in science and/or business
  • You have a minimum of 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry and you have demonstrated your impact in multiple roles such as sales, marketing, professional education, sales training, analytics and insights
  • Previous digital marketing experience an asset- from conception to implementation
  • Previous Lung Oncology experience is an asset
  • Experience engaging with and collecting new insights from customers e.g. KEE’s, prescribers, patients and payers an asset
  • Proven ability to bring ideas to action in the following areas:
    • Market shaping/ expansion
    • Unbranded / disease awareness HCP campaigns
    • Patient activation
  • You are a critical thinker and focus your work on the highest priorities aligned to the overall strategic direction with a patient centric approach
  • You positively impact and influence others and quickly establish credibility while building strong business relationships
  • You have strong communication skills: writing and presentation and you are people focused in discussions
