  • POSITION SUMMARY

The Marketing Manager is responsible for creation and execution of GC Fashion and Apparel Segment marketing plan for a world leader in integrated technology solutions for dedicated to industries using soft materials: textiles, leather, industrial fabrics and composite materials.

The Marketing Manager will be challenged and given opportunity to enhance your skills as business development, marketing campaign planning and communication professional. Working with HQ product marketing, GC Fashion and Apparel sales team, other GC marketing team members and corporate marketing team, you will be responsible for creating, planning, executing and measuring the marketing campaigns for the assigned market segment or solution. Leveraging your knowledge of effective program planning and techniques, you will jointly develop Go To Market (GTM) Strategy based on understanding of targeted industry, customer, applications, competition, and products/solutions. The potential responsibility may include but not limited to Marketing intelligence, strategy development, campaign planning, and Execution of the plan with local and HQ marketing teams. Your success will be primarily measured on business development and demand generation results.

The main objectives are to increase the revenues of the Greater China and maximize our visibility in targeted markets. Through increased marketing activities we will maximize the penetration into our existing customer base, as well as new name targeted customers. Developing professional and trusting relationships with our customers is tantamount to our growth and success.


  • DUTIES AND rESPONSIBILITIES
  • Jointly with the Management, the Local team and with the Corporate team, develop marketing plans (including new product launch plans) based on shared GTM strategy.
  • Successfully implement planned tactics exceeding the business objectives

  • Marketing Intelligence
    • Working with other team members, plan, conduct and/or analyze Market, Customer, Competitor, and Business intelligence in support of the marketing and business development plan
    • Identify new players, products and services launched into the marketplace on an ongoing basis.
    • Summarize, document, and present relevant information
  • Marketing Strategy Development
    • Based on the analysis result of the marketing intelligence develop compelling marketing strategy to be implemented in the GTM action plan.
    • Define market segmentation, target profiles and companies, describe customer needs, identify solution value proposition
    • Document and communicate the strategy in clearly and well organized manner to facilitate understanding and shared ownership
  • Marketing Campaign Planning
    • Develops and maintain Fashion and Apparel segment operational plan in conjunction with sales department, which details activities to follow during the fiscal year, which will focus on meeting organizational objectives.
    • For each market segment and strategies identified create a documented action plan with specific targets,
    • Working with Campaign and Event managers
    • Lead, coordinate or implement Promotions (Direct Marketing,, Seminars, Events, Trade Shows, Workshops, Documentation, Advertising, Advertorial, Communication, etc)
    • Implement, localize and manage Product/Solution promotions to increase and speed up orders
    • Organize events such as executive briefings, seminars, red carpets, etc

    • Develop marketing actions on Services to increase the installed base coverage
    • Successfully planning and launch of new product(s)
    • Prepare sales team for efficient and effective sales process including delivering training and delivery of sales material
    • In spearheading product or market positioning activities, you will manage all high touch customer campaigns, and lead generation initiatives (both direct and indirect) resulting in a scorecard showing all results as well as the ROI metrics
  • Marketing Execution
    • Demonstrates technical marketing skills and product knowledge
    • Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
    • Build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on the customer, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity.
    • Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values.
    • Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments
    • Update and liaise with the Corporate Marketing team on all local activities. Ensure the respect of internal and external approval processes
    • Represent us at important industry events with impeccable image and presentation, and manage press relationships to foster our media presence while continually building our brand.
  • POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 8 years working experience in Marketing, among which 5 years as Marketing Manager; Working or marketing experience in B2B Fashion industry is a plus.
  • Business knowledge on Apparel/Fashion markets will be highly regarded
  • Experience in successful end-to-end marketing campaign planning, development, execution and result tracking
  • Advertising, PR, or Event agency work experience or management skills
  • Must be creative, well organized, independent, self-motivated, and proactive
  • Excellent business communication, analytical and problem solving skills, gracefully handles pressure in a challenging work environment
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, cross-functional skills and teamwork skills
  • Excellent planning and project management skills. .
  • Able to work independently and willing to work overtime when necessary
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin is prerequisite; Cantonese and other European languages are value added to this position
  • Highly computer literate with mastery of MSOffice
  • EDUCATIOn
    • MBA Preferred
    • A degree in marketing or business related field
    • Fluent English, other Chinese dialects appreciated
  • ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  • The job is based in Shanghai;
  • There will be travel to customer sites/Lectra offices in China and France, as required.
