We have an exciting opportunity for a ID NOW Marketing Manager within our Abbott Rapid Diagnostics business located at Lake Forest, IL.  In this role, you will be responsible for the development and execution of strategic marketing programs supporting ID NOW product portfolio(s) across market segments that may include: health system, hospital, physician office, urgent care, retail health.  This job function has accountability for complying with the applicable elements of the Global Quality Framework and the Corporate Quality Management System (QMS).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead marketing efforts for assigned responsibilities on the ID NOW platform in North America.
  • Support development of strategic long-range and annual marketing plans, establishing strategies and tactics to promote assigned product portfolio(s) in each target market segment.
  • Analyze market segment opportunities and support development of strategies to penetrate those markets including the creation of compelling value propositions, competitive positioning, most desirable product attributes and trade-offs, pricing, and sales forecasts.
  • Manage ID NOW platform annual software upgrades by leading tactics to deliver a successful launch.
  • Work closely with various cross-functional teams, such as ID Global Business Unit, Global Shared Services, Technical Service, Global Marketing Services, other departments, and other companies, when appropriate, on key product portfolio initiatives and market development activities.
  • Review healthcare and competitive landscapes to ensure that Corporate and Sales organizations are kept up to date on new developments regarding changing marketplace dynamics.
  • Management of promotional campaigns for the ID NOW, including communications vehicles, collateral and sales support materials, and distributor or national account-specific programs, as applicable.
  • Proficiency in performing marketing data analyses, such as effectiveness of promotional programs, market trends, market share, etc.
  • Serve as the product portfolio resource for the Sales organization, working closely with the Marketing Leaders, Sales Leadership, and Corporate Accounts.
  • Maintain Abbott World Sales Toolkit and websites to ensure updated appropriately with ID NOW platform material for the US market. Support the Literature Fulfillment site to ensure it is updated with appropriate customer facing content
  • Support development and delivering trainings to include New Hire training, field education, and distributor education opportunities
  • Track and complete projects on time.
  • Carries out duties in compliance with established business policies.
  • Demonstrates commitment to the development, implementation, and effectiveness of ARDx Quality Management System per ISO, FDA, and other regulatory agencies
  • Understands and is aware of the quality consequences which may occur from the improper performance of their specific job. Has awareness of device defects that may occur in their area of responsibility, including product design, verification and validation, manufacturing and testing activities.
  • Exhibit professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS in Marketing, Business, Biological Science or related field required. MBA with marketing emphasis desired.
  • At least five years of marketing experience required, with strong strategic market and data analysis skills.
  • At least three years of diagnostics experience required. Infectious disease experience highly desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with success in promoting products. Creative and innovative tasks skills with a high level of energy, enthusiasm, endurance, and a can-do attitude.
  • Demonstrated communication skills, including the ability to create and deliver professional presentations.
  • Demonstrated experience with use of Excel and Salesforce.com
