What you’ll do

Reporting to the Director Infectious Disease, the Marketing Manager – RSV & Influenza – will support the integration of Synagis into the AstraZeneca Canada Infectious Disease portfolio and ensure that high-risk infants are protected from the devastating threat of Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV).

The successful candidate for this role will provide strong leadership, influence and collaboration with cross-functional partners to develop customer solutions and optimize business results.

  • Support the growth of our infectious disease portfolio by leading and executing customer marketing activities for Synagis & Flumist

  • Develop a deep understanding of the patient, customer and influencer dynamics that impact the patient journey, including underlying belief and attitudes that drive relevant customer behaviors and decision making

  • Establish & maintain relationships with internal & external stakeholders to identify emerging needs to support a patient centric approach that will differentiate the AZ infectious disease portfolio

  • Develop and deliver brand presentations to the field teams, local and global brand teams, and executive team to ensure clear understanding of opportunities, strategies & tactics

  • Support digital reach by innovatively and successfully evolving existing digital strategy, capabilities & channels for branded & unbranded disease awareness campaigns

  • Support training and development to build enhanced capabilities for cross-functional partners & field teams

  • Successfully influence brand performance and profitability by supporting management of commercial brand budgets

Essential for the role

  • University degree or equivalent in science and/or business

  • Have a minimum of 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry with demonstrated results in roles such as sales, marketing, and/or market access

  • Previous vaccines related experience is a strong asset

  • Ability to lead through ambiguity and a high level of learning agility

  • A critical and innovative thinker aligned to brand strategic direction with a strong patient centric approach

  • Positively impact and influence others and quickly establish credibility with multiple functions including sales

  • Have strong communication skills: writing and presentation and you are people focused in discussions
