AstraZenecaCanada - mississaugaUpdate time: June 13,2020
Job Description

Regular, Full-Time

Mississauga, Head Office

Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, you will work with the marketing, sales teams and cross-functional partners to support the strategic direction of TAGRISSO as it grows in both current and future indications.

AstraZeneca is no stranger to Oncology. In 2012, we were 6th globally in terms of Oncology sales, but our Oncology heritage actually began with the development of tamoxifen in 1962. Since then, we have brought major treatment advances to Canadian patients including Zoladex and Casodex (prostate), Arimidex and Faslodex (breast), Iressa (lung) and Caprelsa (medullary thyroid cancer). Over the past 18 months, we launched two First in Class molecules with Lynparza (Ovarian Cancer) and Tagrisso (Lung Cancer). Most recently, we have launched the first of our Immuno-Oncology portfolio products, IMFINZI (PD-L1 inhibitor), in its lead indication of Urothelial Cancer.

The future ambition for Oncology at AstraZeneca is high. Identified as one of three core therapy areas globally, our goal is to become a leader in this space through following the science developed at our own R&D facilities as well as through targeted acquisitions and partnerships. Throughout, science and patients are at the heart of everything we do.

In this role, you will help the launch of a new indication in early-stage EGFRm+ NSCLC through the effective implementation of brand tactics and strategies and will assist with building comprehensive product plans.

Responsibilities include:

  • Build, lead and execute customer marketing activities to promote TAGRISSO with key customers
  • Coordinate the strategic and tactical planning processes for TAGRISSO to drive success over the short and longer-term
  • Analyze current market trends to share new insights and build digital platforms to improve delivery of key product information
  • Positively influence brand performance and profitability while controlling promotional expenses
  • Partner with key external contacts to build relationships, elevate our leadership position in lung oncology and ultimately improve care for patients
  • Collaborate with key internal cross-functional partners on critical initiatives to build a differentiated and successful lung oncology franchise with a patient and customer centric lens

Qualifications include:

  • University degree or equivalent in science and/or business
  • Minimum of 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry and you have demonstrated your impact in multiple roles such as sales, marketing, professional education, sales training, analytics and insights
  • Previous Lung Oncology experience is an asset
  • KOL relationship management experience is preferred
  • Can think critically and focus work on the highest priorities aligned to the overall strategic direction and embed a patient centric approach to work
  • Can positively impact and influence others and quickly establish credibility while building strong business relationships
  • Possess strong communication skills: writing and presentation and you are people focused in discussions
  • Experienced building digital platforms/channels
