In this vital role the exceptional Senior Marketing Manager will play a key role on the Nplate brand team to shape, develop and execute upon the HCP marketing strategy across multiple channels, with a heavy focus on digital. This individual will also help to advance new omnichannel capabilities such across social, website, and SMS. This individual will develop broad marketing capabilities, people leadership, and will have the ability to stretch and demonstrate his/her leadership capabilities through ownership of multiple workstreams. This role will require strong cross-functional leadership, agility/flexibility, excellent communication skills, and a passion to serve patients in a dynamic environment. This position will report to the Commercial Director and will be a key member of the US Brand Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop digital strategy that supports the overall brand strategy
  • Develop a tactical plan; ensuring programs are a good fit given brand characteristics
  • Deliver breakthrough and impactful creative campaigns that execute via digital, website, mobile, and email/CRM and field channel
  • Manage digital budget programs and assess the cost effectiveness of programs
  • Advance omnichannel capabilities in partnership with media agencies and internal capabilities teams by identifying capability gaps and proposing solutions.
  • Performance tracking in partnership with internal data analytics teams and agency partners. Develop important metrics and reporting dashboards
  • Agency management – Provide formal and informal feedback to agency partners to support the continued advancement the working relationship and value provided by the agency
  • Project management
  • Prepare communication deliverables and provide presentations that effectively communicate the digital strategy, program performance, and project updates
  • Serve as the HCP promotion team’s digital channel SME by helping other team members deploy content into digital channels and track program effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with internal market research teams to implement needed market research and measurement testing to support strategy, programs, and expected returns/success of programs
  • Develop and leverage a network of other digital marketers within Amgen to bring standard methodologies to Oncology

Basic Qualifications

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

Master’s degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

Associate’s Degree and 10 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing managing SEO/SEM, website, social, display, email, and online video
  • 4+ year in pharmaceutical marketing (HCP-facing promotion is preferred, but not required)
  • 10+ years of experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources
  • A track record of success in a series of commercial roles of increasing scope, scale and complexity
  • Best-in-class marketer with experience developing and implementing innovative commercial strategies within highly competitive markets where innovation and marketing competence are key factors of success
  • Successful track record of working cross-functionally and leading teams
  • Ability to make decisions using data from multiple sources
  • Commercial Savvy. Exceptional commercial acumen and instincts; superior strategic marketing skills; financial and business analysis competency. A strong command of classic and innovative marketing techniques.
  • Creative, strategic approach. Demonstrated creativity in addressing strategic challenges; displays high intellectual curiosity and passion for learning; thinks out-of-the-box; asks the right questions; seeks experienced opinions and insights; applies innovative ideas and takes measured risks. Develops and articulates a strong, value-based strategy.
  • Collaboration Skills. Works in a team-based organization, collaborates cross functionally, builds alignment around key objectives and exercises influence at all levels. Readily builds consensus and achieves agreement on key priorities. Conducts effective meetings. Excellent listener; seeks broad input and feedback; employs frequent and effective follow-up.
  • Ability to execute and deploy MVP without endless analysis
  • Presentation Skills. Develops and delivers concise, relevant and well-supported briefings. Well-prepared and adapts presentation style to audience. Possesses the knowledge, credibility and maturity to influence senior management
  • Project Management skills. Experience in managing complex projects from ideation to deployment.
  • Technology skills. Thorough understanding of data, how it flows and how to use technology and data to advance omnichannel marketing campaigns.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to influence and build culture
