Summary of Job:

This position will report directly to the Marketing Manager of Southeast Asia. Candidate should preferably have some knowledge of laboratory analytical instrumentation and possess excellent communication skills. The Marketing Specialist is expected to have a tertiary education preferably with Science and Chemistry background. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently as well as in a team environment will be expected. The person must be a good communicator, enjoys creativity in developing, captivating product launches and marketing programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and lead marketing programs for Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry product lines, working closely with distributors in Southeast Asia region
  • Work closely with commercial team to develop creative marketing ideas to improve product visibility, build and strengthen branding
  • Interface with APAC marketing team in planning and execution of marketing events or new product launches for Southeast Asia
  • Develop good understanding of the customers’ workflow and application needs. Work with commercial team to design and support seminars and campaigns to drive awareness and demand
  • Support Sales and Channel managers to assess specific market trends, understand competitor’s marketing programs to design counter activities
  • Owns and maintains campaign setup in Customer Relation Management system
  • Monitors and reports campaign performance to optimize return on marketing investment
  • Responsible for the design and localization of marketing collaterals, and customer-facing communications
  • Plan and manage corporate gifts, customer giveaway, product banners and other exhibition tools as required
  • Practical knowledge of Salesforce or related CRM tools highly preferred

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree in Marketing/MarCom, Business Admin or related disciplines
  • 2-3 years of experience in a Marketing/MarCom role
  • Proven ability in project/program management skills - working with internal and external stakeholders (creative agencies, suppliers, etc.) in completing projects
  • Prior working experience in the analytical instrumentation industry is a plus
  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong aspiration to learn and complete multiple tasks
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office Suite (EXCEL, PowerPoint, WORD)
  • Excellent English language communication skills - both oral and writing
  • Occasional travel ~20% within Southeast Asia to support customer facing marketing events
  • Undertake additional ad hoc assignments when required
