Job Summary The Marketing & Strategy Manager is responsible for creation and execution of the strategic marketing plan for the product lines. This individual will be responsible for driving business growth strategies and margin improvements, define the channel must collaboration for the project, product offering and positioning, product roadmaps, channel development and interface with sales, channels and customers. In addition, the Marketing & Strategy Manager is responsible for product portfolio management to achieve the vitality goal of the division, and to help identify projects impacting profitability through cost savings. The product management activities will be aligned with the strategic plans & goals of the organization. The Marketing & Strategy Manager will also be responsible for creating and executing the marketing communications strategy definition and implementation for the region. Job Responsibilities Develop distinctive product plans with outstanding financial outcomes; be competent in microeconomics, finance, VOC, research and analysis and basic marketing toolkit (market definition and sizing, segmentation, value management, targeting and positioning, pricing) Display strong market knowledge and influence strategy development and investment decisions Prioritize new business opportunities with the Business Unit Manager in Mexico Provide strategic marketing direction for new product development, upgrades and launches Identify market opportunities, build business cases, and define vision and strategy for specific offerings Be a voice of the customer and setting appropriate expectations with the division and sales Make recommendations to ensure pricing excellence and bottom-line impact Understand and develop pricing models, with proven ability to develop value pricing strategies and monetize offerings Design and execute impactful market research studies, drive to conclusions and actionable recommendations for the business Lead market research planning and execution Communicate the findings and implications, drive action from analysis. Direct responsibility for the creation and implementation of strategic marketing plans for new product introductions, promotions, merchandising, advertising, website and company positioning and channel-specific programs aimed at increasing sales and growing market share for the division. Direct responsibility for creating and managing the marketing communication budget as well as vendor selection and management. Establish close working relationship with US-based product managers and the local sales team to insure coordinated, accurate messaging that positions both company and product in the marketplace for maximum growth. Oversight responsibilities for the creation and delivery of all collateral materials including brochures, mailing pieces, advertising and new product introduction campaigns, sample kits, training modules, new product releases and press releases. #LI-MM3 Qualifications Qualifications Education level required: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Business Management, or related field from an accredited institution. Years and area of experience required: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a commercial environment (Sales & Mktg) preference within the power quality industry, UPS related field. Technical knowledge: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English-Spanish required. Understanding of specific markets and products. Demonstrated experience in developing business strategy, planning, and budgeting. Advanced knowledge in Excel, Power Point, Word. Technical background in electrical industry, preferable within critical power Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS). Experience with digital infrastructure preferred but not required. Product Sales and Marketing knowledge and experience, preferable within the critical power and digital infrastructure. Demonstrated ability to technically sell electrical products and package power quality solutions in Latin American regions. Commercial and channel management experience in LAM, and prior sales management experience. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain customer relationships and resolve complex channel conflicts. Ability to communicate effectively and equally well with corporate executives, engineers, and technicians.
