Marketing and Communications – Digital Marketing Assistant Officer
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Officer, Marketing and Communication in AIDS Concern. This person will have good people skills to support our work.
As we move to a different environment for fundraising, a significant amount of emphasis has been placed to make AIDS Concern’s business model sustainable. My Place is a Social Enterprise division of AIDS Concern that allows community members to pay a reasonable
fee for products and services. In the coming three years we aim for My Place income to grow to 25% of our income to reduce reliance on fundraising initiatives.
The Assistant Officer will be a major contributor to this target by supporting the Marketing and Communications team with corporate fundraising, events, individual giving (Virtual and Actual
events), sales generation on existing projects, new project generation as well as day to day admin.
This role would be an excellent opportunity for somebody with some admin and information technology experience looking to move into a fundraising and marketing role within a non-profit.
You would need to assist the team on day to day marketing activities including raising POs, sorting invoices, managing marketing team inboxes and answering general requests from the Marketing team.
To assist with daily operations of our Direct Debit Programme (Individual giving), this includes updating donor information on our CRM system, managing the CRM system, using the CRM system
to an advanced level to generate reports and doing basic analysis to offer monthly insights on donation trends and behaviours.
To manage and take control of all Website related backend hosting and server issues, including the need to keep up to date with expiry and renewal with vendors and to source and react according
to this.
To understand the different systems used by Marketing and Communication and look for ways to continually find more efficient ways to maximise these systems. To help upload contents to:

- AIDS Concern FB, IG, LinkedIn
- AIDS Concern CRM
- AIDS Concern EDM Platform (APSIS)
To liaise with various teams within AIDS Concern.
Candidate requirements and skills:
- Excellent attention to detail
- Analytical skills
- Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage a diverse workload and meet deadlines
- Experience with simple admin work
- Great understanding of systems and IT related work
- Good communications skills
- Experience and understanding of digital media
- A self starter and able to use own initiative
- Confident and able to deal with a wide range of stakeholders from senior management to volunteers
