Eaton’s Aerospace Group is currently seeking a Master Scheduler to join our team. This position is based at our Irvine, CA facility. Position Overview: The Master Scheduler’s primary function includes analysis of various material inputs to maximize product planning, capacity, product completion, and delivery efficiency to support customer and site requirements. The position also includes the analysis of material and production trends in order to identify opportunities for improvement of costs, lead times, and optimization of inventory. In this function you will: Manage schedules and capacity planning for all product lines; maintain metrics such as material availability. Manage reconciliation of hot lists (re-adjust for flips, cancels, expedites, etc.) to follow critical orders. Maintain the master production schedule for the facility. Plan, prepare, issue and control production schedules and coordinate with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements. Lead weekly production planning meeting that includes representatives from sales, production, shipping, customer service, and purchasing departments. Participate and provide input into SIOP planning activities and monthly meetings as required. Work with Sales Engineers and Supply Chain to determine expedite capabilities and coordinate with Customer Service to make schedule changes when adjustments are implemented. Adjust capacity planning/scheduling by line – daily capacity numbers, weekly buckets, mixed model, etc. as required. Perform root cause analysis for material availability and recommend/implement solutions to Supply Chain Manager to optimize inventory levels and manufacturing schedules. Drive the SIOP process supported by a cross functional team. Own measures-of-fill rates, forecast accuracy and is critical team member to drive SIOP maturity scores across all sites. Collaborate with other Demand Managers on best practices and aligned processes. Develop a yearly profit plan forecast and drives achievement during current year - 24 month rolling, including a five-year Strategic Plan. Incorporate business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, customer service, program management, etc. to determine demand drivers and to confirm any sales spikes and trends as they arise. Provide leadership, drives organizational capability, and sets objectives for the department, leading to continuous improvement of the forecast process and the adoption of best practices. Lead the monthly consensus demand process, including reporting to senior management on forecasts, assumptions, risks and opportunities. Document and challenge forecast assumptions based on the analysis of market data, industry dynamics, statistics, business trends, and demand patterns. Develop accountability for demand management through performance measures and provide feedback to the participants in the process. Support the development of a robust demand forecast that is agreed to by sales and marketing, including an analytical driven demand planning monthly process. Monitor changes in the key business drivers, perform analysis, and possess the ability to shape the analytical findings into a meaningful business story. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in either scheduling, planning, forecasting or materials management. Minimum of three (3) years of experience with materials planning systems (MRP/ERP). This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of the Irvine, CA facility will be considered for this position. Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain from an accredited institution. Master’s degree in Business from an accredited institution. APICS and/or ISM certification. Previous Supply Chain experience within a manufacturing environment. Experience in supply chain planning and SIOP process. Strong analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
