Job Description
Eaton Corporation’s Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions (GEIS) division is seeking a Master Scheduler, Cable Tray. This position will be based in Highland, IL. Position Overview: The Master Scheduler, Cable Tray is responsible for improving the planning and scheduling processes of the Cable Tray product line across three U.S. plants for the GEIS B-Line business, including the review of internal and external supply chain constraints. The individual will issue executable production schedules in accordance with the established Level Load Fixed Scheduling methodology and geographical analysis in order to meet or exceed customer service level goals. The Master Scheduler assists in the implementation of the Sales, Inventory and Operational Planning (SIOP) in line with PACE and site Sieve plan to drive FERT level production plan down to the HALB level. The individual focuses on the metrics of On Time to Customer Request (OTTR) and Inventory Turns. This position is responsible for monitoring plant production to identify bottleneck areas and propose solutions to improve plant lead time, customer service and inventory turns. This position is based out of our Highland, IL facility. Key responsibilities include: Collaborates with sales, product line managers, demand managers, materials management and operations on the business unit goals of inventory, days on hand, excess and obsolete reduction initiatives and customer on time delivery. Works closely with plant supervisors, planners and schedulers to maintain the production plan to support SIOP and plant SCM goals. Manage distinct requirements across all product types: aluminum, steel, fiberglass, hot dip galvanized. Recommend use of outside capacity assistance where needed to address output constraints. Facilitates cross functional activities to resolve demand and capacity imbalances before the operations are impacted and presents potential solutions during the SIOP meeting for approval. Ensure daily reporting and monitoring to plan of key metrics: Customer OTTR / Sales / Inventory. Maintains material master settings via MRP Monitor or other systems to support SIOP and business goals. Support the deployment of standard material planning & replenishment processes across the plants & supply chain to enable improved input to the SIOP process and assist planners with planning standard work, training, large projects, vacation coverage, new product launches, product revisions and other projects as assigned by the Materials Manager. Monitors the phasing out of discontinued products, the phasing in or new products to minimize obsolescing inventory, and maintain good customer relations by scheduling the introduction of new products at the agreed upon time, and have inventory available for scheduled promotions. Provides leadership in the development and implementation of more efficient processes, and new production planning techniques.
