Job Description

Eaton’s Hydraulic Division is currently seeking a Materials Analyst to join our team.  This position is based at our Searcy, Arkansas facility.

 

Position Overview:

 

The Materials Analyst reports directly to the SCM Manager. Primary function is to plan and allocate materials in a continuous improvement culture to provide timely delivery to customers with minimal inventory investment. This includes timely release requirements against customer orders to support manufacturing requirements and coordinating interface with suppliers on delivery. This role also analyzes large sets of data with the objective of providing timley and accurate feedback to customers, operations, and site leadership.

In this function you will:

 

  • Timely planning and execution of work orders to support daily operations, including reviewing work order material shortages and executing timely delivery of raw materials for production including prompt and proper actions to MRP planner messages.
  • Determines order points, appropriate order quantities, safety stock and related inventory controls; evaluates deviations from normal guidelines on assigned parts by recommending alternative actions to be employed in the event of failure to meet production schedules.
  • Support daily production and communication meetings; inform supervisor and shop floor of material shortages that adversely affect the production plan and schedules.
  • Support data analytics regarding translating large, complex data sets into easy to understand summaries to be used for presenting to senior leadership and customers.
  • Ability to leverage strong MS Excel skills to highlight areas of focus that will drive process improvements. Ensure that material and capacity are planned correctly, researching present and potential material shortages and incorporating corrective actions.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to increase On-Time Delivery while decreasing inventory investment. Participate in identifying, communicating, and resolving supplier problems through the development and maintenance of ethical supplier relationships that foster a desire to furnish new ideas and promote cooperation with Eaton on an on-going basis.
  • Maintain and project inventory positions that satisfy asset management goals and minimize risk of product obsolescence.
  • Participates in process improvement teams or Kaizen events as needed.
  • Functions in a team environment focused on maintaining on-time delivery, minimum inventory, quality and maximum utilization of resources.
  • Follow all safety rules, report all accidents or unsafe conditions to supervision immediately and wear all required personal protective equipment

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution and one (1) year experience in a planning, scheduling and/or purchasing role OR High School Diploma and five (5) years’ experience in a planning, scheduling and/or purchasing role.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future

 

Preferred qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution preferred
  • General knowledge of manufacturing production flow.
  • Must be proficient in MFG/Pro (or equivalent ERP software)
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency is a must
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Access,Teams, Power BI, PowerPoint are a plus 

 

Eaton has announced it has reached an agreement to sell its Hydraulics Business to Danfoss A/S. This transaction is expected to be completed by the end of Q2 in 2021 and this position is expected to remain with the Hydraulics Business and would transfer to Danfoss A/S. upon close.  The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton’s plans, programs and practices.  If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Hydraulics Business when the transaction closes, Danfoss A/S will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.
