Job Overview
This position is the key business owner of Material technical data within MBUSA, responsible for leading the continued progress and maintenance of material data within all Paragon and additional relevant systems. This involves the prioritization of strategic initiatives to improve the process and systematic flow of parts supersessions, maintaining and managing parts supersessions as provided by our vendors and other counterparts, and overseeing the integrity and quality of data as a single point of reference and subject matter expert for MBUSA.

Responsibilities

- Develop and manage system and process enhancements to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of material data within Paragon
- Leverage opportunities to execute strategic initiatives throughout MBUSA
- Utilize methods, tools and value added reports to effectively & efficiently manage strategic projects and requests on system enhancements and processes
- Provide thought leadership and direction regarding the future roadmap for parts material data and supersessions
- Lead collaboration with business units on mid and long-term projects to plan and execute the continued incorporation of supersessions and ensure accuracy of material data
- Regularly review, manage, and maintain part supersessions and data discrepancies or anomalies.
- Develop and enact Key Performance Metrics to measure quality and execution of strategic initiatives
- Create business process flow diagrams to support the communication of the new processes to IT and other stakeholders
- Assist in creating communication / training documentation to support the transition to new processes
- Ensure accuracy of MBUSA Parts supersession chains. Check new part numbers for technical accuracy and applicability to USA models.
- Report current inquiry trends and work with team to develop new tools as necessary to resolve current and anticipated issues
- Serve as customer advocate by supporting the strategic direction of the material data and supersession for the market and ensuring new features are implemented in a timely fashion
- Support and help drive Lean initiatives throughout Parts Logistics
