Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently recruiting for a Material Handler to join our team. This position is based the Mississauga, Ontario facility and will working on day shift. Position Overview: Reporting to the Satellite Manager or Production Supervisor, this position is responsible for all duties related to shipping and receiving in the Satellite facility including receiving/inspecting all incoming materials for the warehouse and work-in-progress (WIP) and preparing shipping documentation for outbound shipments, arranging/scheduling additional transportation for all outbound materials and ensure customer product is delivered to the correct location. This role is located at one of our Eaton Satellite locations (6 in total), which are located across Canada and comprise of smaller assemble-to-order facilities and complement our medium to large manufacturing facilities within Canada. In this function you will: Pick parts for site orders, deliver to designated workstations and store according to proper sequence and coding, for timely reporting of Balance on Hand (BOH) transactions. Load parts onto pallets or carts. Maintain inventory to ensure accuracy of parts and quantity. Perform cycle counting, ensuring accurate count. This includes performing physical counts when there is a Balance on Hand (BOH) discrepancy. Maintain Kanban system at Point of Use (POU) locations. Handle internal inquiries and provide assistance in locating materials. Inform Coordinator of potential production or material concerns, including delay in shipment. Provide input and recommendations to improve effectiveness of work area. Utilize numerous functions of Oracle on daily basis to fulfill warehouse responsibilities. Effectively dispose of scrap material. Maintain Daily 5S responsibilities. Work from written or verbal instructions from Supervisor, system generated picking documents and established work routines. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications Grade 12 diploma, GED or equivalent from an accredited institution is required. No relocation provided. Candidates must reside within 80 kilometers of Mississauga, CA to be considered. Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future. Preferred Qualifications: 1-year experience with material handling Valid Forklift License Experience with an ERP system, ideally Oracle Experience using Fork trucks, hand trucks, weigh-counting scales, storage bins and racks, ladders, packing carts, stretch wrapper, pallets and bar code scanner.
