Job Description
Eaton's CRDS sector is currently seeking a Material Handler II on 3rd shift. This position is based at out Cleveland, TN facility. In this function you will: Be responsible for staging material and leading changeovers to maintain continuous flow and ensure aherence to production schedules. Perform daily counting of parts and see that materials are stored and organized to ensure conformance with 5S standards. The incumbent will update visual metrics, track and report assembly issues and errors to appropriate contacts, and problem solve to improve production flow. Participate in the execution and improvement of 5S and housekeeping, provide line training, and fill in gaps on the production line as needed. Adhere to all facility safety guidelines and encourage communication and participation of personnel to further identify and reduce/eliminate potential hazards. Adhere to and support all facility environmental guidelines and procedures to identify additional pollution prevention projects to reduce waste and raw material consumption. The incumbent will also be responsible for organization and cleanliness of the work area, and will support and abide by all procedures set forth to assure product and process quality and support plant manufacturing principles. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Must have a High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution; however individuals who were hired prior to the requirement of a high school diploma/GED for entry level positions may still be eligible for consideration for this position. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship No relocation is being offered with this position. Only candidates within the immediate geographical area (50 miles) will be considered. Position Criteria Must be motivated and have high energy, and the ability to work well with others. Must have good communication, organizational, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills. Must be able to maintain material flow for assigned line(s), read blueprints and BOMs, understand standard work, set up cells and tooling, and investigate production failures and take necessary corrective action. Must maintain a license to drive a forklift. A high school diploma/GED is required, however individuals who were hired prior to the requirement of a high school diploma/GED for entry level positions may still be eligible for consideration for this position.
