Eaton’s Electrical is currently seeking a Material Handler – 2nd shift to join our team. The hours are 3:30 pm – 12:00 am. This position is based at our Mississauga, Ontario distribution center. Hire rate is $22.09 - eligible for benefits on day one. Position Overview: The Material Handler is responsible for moving material throughout the distribution centre via receiving, re-stocking, picking, packing and shipping to enable the site to process customer orders. In this role you will: Safely receive and break down incoming loads using reach trucks. Pick and put away material of various weights and sizes accurately using SAP and an RF handheld scanner. Support and assist team members with various tasks throughout the warehouse. Operate lift equipment safely to move material in and out of high bay racking and around the distribution center. Perform cycle and inventory counts and audits as required. Work with management team and coworkers to create a safety first and continuous improvement culture. Solve routine warehouse problems. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Must have completed a high-school diploma or equivalent education from an accredited institution. No relocation provided. Must be forklift certified Must be authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future. Preferred qualifications: Previous experience with reach truck, order picker, swing reach, working at elevated heights. Exposure to SAP and RF scanners. Position Criteria: Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced/changing environment. Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to work within teams/groups and work with all levels of the organization. Effective time management.
