Job Description Summary

Under the supervision of the Manufacturing Facilitator or designee, brings all required materials to the production area and moves finished products to the appropriate areas. Generates documentation for material movements in accordance with company policy. Keeps close control of materials in production area to ensure smooth flow of materials. Notifies Manufacturing Facilitator or Shift Leader of any actual or potential shortage. Follows QSR, ISO, safety and environmental regulations.

Job Description

Essential Functions

• Requisitions materials needed for the production area. 
• Utilizes production plans and SAP system to ensure that adequate levels of raw materials are kept in the production area. 
• Verifies quantities and items requisition when received for correctness.
• Operates lifting and moving equipment following safety rules and ensuring proper handling of equipment and product.
• Moves finished products to warehouse following safety rules and ensuring proper handling of equipment and product.
• Sorts, and stacks materials in accordance with company policies. 
• Follows QSR, ISO and safety rules.Maintains inventory of indirect materials and supply items.Maintains area under his responsibility in clean and orderly manner.Assists in other operations within the department as needed.
• Active participation in Lean Activities.Prepares finished good pallets by shrink wrapping, installing corner parts if required.Maintains current revision of production form copies as necessary for the area.
• Needs to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instruction. 
• Deals with routine situations requiring exercise of judgment.  Performs manual calculations.  Verifies documentation. 
• Interprets information obtained from computerized inventory system.  Writes neat clear information in inventory records. 
• Uses mechanized materials movements equipment. Performs other  duties as assigned.
