Job Title: Associate II, Warehouse

Location: Lexington, MA

How will you make an impact?

The Warehouse Associate II will perform and document daily warehouse operations in a cGMP environment. Through cross training and flexible workforce, they will become a subject matter expert in two or more areas within the materials management department. These areas may include, but are not limited to Shipping and Receiving, GMP Raw Materials, Inventory Control, Cell Bank Storage, Logistics and Distribution.

What will you do?

  • Following cGMP procedures, retrieve documents from the document management system, completing cGMP documents using good documentation practices.
  • Identify gaps in procedures. Collaborate with the management team effectively to improve existing processes.
  • Initiate deviations and close them on time.
  • Work effectively with cross functional departments to complete investigations when necessary.
  • Interact with a wide variety of professionals both internally and externally, such as Consultants, Regulatory Agencies and vendors
  • Mentor and train junior associates in materials management warehouse functions.
  • Work effectively and with limited supervision in Shipping and Receiving, GMP Raw Materials, Inventory Control, and Cell Bank Storage, Logistics and Distribution.
  • Safely operate all motorized equipment including forklift truck, electric pallet jacks, lifts, and company vehicles. May be responsible for maintenance and vendor follow up.
  • Always use PPE when necessary, ensure proper safety practices are in use, and identify any safety risks.
  • Respond to alarms as a Primary Responder

How will you get here?

  • The successful incumbent will have a high level of detail, good documentation practices, ability to follow procedures as written and train/mentor junior associates.
  • Proficient in the use of the inventory management system (SAP) and able to execute real time transactions such as material reservations, inventory reporting, inventory reconciliation and investigations, order shipping confirmations, cycle counting, batch creation and close, and entry of orders.
  • Identify safety or procedural gaps and provide viable solutions to identified issues.
  • Implement solid corrective actions by gathering input from others and communicate changes in process or procedures across multiple functions.
  • Identify issues and interact with different functions such as Logistics, Planning, QC, Engineering and QA for issue resolution.
  • Able to drive issue resolution, such as communicating issues to the key stake holders and management.

Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience in a biotech setting preferred

Experience

  • 2-5 years of industry experience
  • Highly knowledgeable and proficient in SAP and able to create work flows
  • GMP experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Must be DOT, IATA, and Hazardous Material certified
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to use a computer and knowledge of some Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Ability to lift 40lbs
