• Supervises Material Handling Technicians in delivering and maintaining line sequenced materials, stocking materials in the proper locations along the production lines, and following up regarding missed material
• Collaborates with manufacturing/ industrial engineering teams in facilitating timely changes and ensuring accuracy of material information
• Provides support to internal and external customers in identifying and locating material
• Maintains inventory accuracy
• Manages material bins, ensuring accurate location, labeling, and placement
• Communicates inventory status with production and planning
• Manages and enforces housekeeping and safety rules throughout areas of responsibility
• Provides leadership and direction to Material Handling Technicians in daily assignments, priority setting, and resolving materials issues that immediately impact production
• Directs and manages area of responsibility to meet and achieve Company goals
• Effectively utilizes manpower within areas of responsibility
• Implements appropriate processes and procedures to promote optimum efficiency in the handling and delivery of materials and ensuring employee safety
• Collaborates with plant management and other supervisory staff to assign, direct, review, and monitor work of supervised staff to maximize efficiency and productivity in the materials and receiving department
• Champions' Lean activities in assigned areas of responsibility, identifying waste and promoting continuous improvement
• Promotes a team environment that stresses employee participation and engagement
• Enforces Company policies and abides by contract language
• Analyzes and resolves work problems and assists workers in solving work problems
• Provides training, instruction and guidance to direct reports
• Effectively utilizes all systems available to manage and control inventory
• Maintains SAP and all payroll reporting systems

• Electronic and manufacturing background
• SAP key user, knowing material codes
• 5 to 10 years experience on material planning
