Material Technology Specialist (Junior to Senior)

Job Description

We are looking for Material Technology Specialists on junior to senior level joining our team. Working on Microsoft HoloLens you will be part of an organization which consists of professionals from the fields of optics, micro- and nanofabrication process technologies and mechanical engineering. 

 

The candidate will be responsible for the development of special optical materials for micro-optics manufacturing, process development in close co-operation with our high-volume process specialists. Experience in thermoset polymer materials, optical high refractive index materials, inorganic oxide materials, thin film chemistry and their processing is essential.

 

Understanding in material optical - and mechanical properties, material interface chemical interactions, surface chemistry, environment and process relations in polymer-based production are great assets for daily work.

 

Scouting and testing new technologies and materials and demonstrating technology readiness for pilot production will be among the key deliverables.   

Responsibilities

  • Material technology development for advanced optics high volume manufacturing processes.
  • Material analysis methods, quality control procedures and processes.
  • New material process and test planning, result analysis and reporting.
  • Definition of material technical requirements and technical. documentation.
  • Co-operation between internal R&D and production teams.

Qualifications

  • Experience in material development for consumer product.
  • Fluid problem solving skills in material challenges.
  • Solid understanding of technology/material impact to system.
  • Demonstrated cross-technical collaboration.
  • Technology development/ Project working experience and passion (2+ years).
  • Result driven and ability to work in a highly challenging environment with high degree of ambiguity.
  • MS Polymer Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry or Material Engineering.
  • Excellent oral and written communication in English.
  • Capability to utilize modern data analysis and statistical tools in daily work.
  • Good IT skills.
