Job Outputs:
Responsible for the on-carriage of sea and airfreight as per agreed 1-step material planning in overseas plants
Responsible for monitoring and reporting of correct stock levels in plant (including the maintenance of stock level adjustments if necessary)
Responsible for establishing a close network with inbound transportation providers (sea-freight and airfreight) in order to conquer any unexpected delays timeously
Responsible for establishing a close network to relating business departments (in plant) to support Material Control in NAFTA for any queries
Responsible for steering the After-run steering (Rail / Road) thereby ensuring that the right parts arrive at the same time, right quality and in the right quantity to support production
Responsible for compiling reports reflecting the status of the supply chain / material Supply
Responsible for analysing the sea-freight and Airfreight DOS on a daily basis in order to identify shortages timeously and take action to ensure parts availability
Minimum requirements:
B Degree in Industrial engineering or Logistics
Sound knowledge of logistics processes in the automotive industry or Freight Forwarding Industry, particularly with the Customer Orientated Production view and Supply Chain Management
Network to NAFTA would be an advantage
