Clerical assistance for Planning and Purchasing teams in Glens Falls

Job Description

Essential Job Functions:

• Planning
  • Assemble Work order packets
  • Forecast entry
  • Daily / weekly reporting files
    • Inventory turns, forecast dumps, planning parameters, Reynosa Shipments, forecast waterfalls, etc.
    • Coordinate Shipping activities
  • Manage / create work orders out of JDE
  • ESM lot tracking and creation
  • Sales order entry

• Purchasing
  • PO filing
  • PO / System Maintenance
  • PO follow up (acknowledgements, expediting, deferring, etc.)
  • Electronic file updates (contacts, reports, etc.)
  • Liaison for receiving and IQC issues (missing documentation, corrected documentation requests, etc.)

• Understand GMP regulations, especially as they relate to materials control in the manufacturing environment.
• Assist and/or lead in the CR (Change Request) process.
• Participate in new product introductions and project teams.
• Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MRP systems.
• Ability to read component specifications and drawings.
• Master Control experience (power user preferred)

Additional Desirable Qualifications:

• JDE experience

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma

Minimum 5 years’ experience in medical device manufacturing

Physical Demands:

Physical surroundings are pleasant and comfortable, with little or no exposure to injury or other health hazards.

Work Environment:

Work permits employee to remain seated with some fatiguing posture. Occasional lifting between 1-5 lbs.

Training Requirements:

On-the-job, SOP’s required for position and GMP.
