Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and control the supply chain processes, including functions such as materials planning, scheduling, purchasing, customer service and for logistics, along with the execution of all company rules, policies, procedures, and programs in support of the Eaton’s goals and objectives. Lead and/or support projects and/or initiatives based on business needs ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Manage the supply chain team to achieve prescribed objectives associated with Inventory Management, Service, Planning, and Procurement. Ensure tools for inventory management, SIOP, sourcing and supplier resource management are deployed and sustained, to optimize the use of material providing maximum production efficiencies and service to customers with minimal levels of inventory. Ensure the timely manufacture and distribution of finished goods that meets and/or exceeds the expectations of internal customers Ensure adequate supplier management encompassing on-time delivery, quality while maintaining good vendor relations and establishing cost reduction programs. Effectively communicate, interface, and coordinate interplant/inter-department activities for the areas of Materials, Customer Service and Logistics, and related support areas such as finance, human resource, manufacturing, and engineering as needed. Develop department procedures, guidelines, and objectives. Manage and control department expenditures in according to set budget. Obtain cost improvements and cost reductions aligned to business objectives. Support the effort to build organizational capabilities and bench strength through support of functional excellence, training, and coaching. Drive and support improvement strategies across all supply chain functions in Procurement, Systems integration (MRP) and others Daily/weekly verification of inventory and service levels, and provide plant management an accurate forecast, actions, and a weekly and monthly basis. Responsible to proactively drive escalations and resolutions of critical materials Responsible for driving improvement projects as defined in plant operating factors. Perform specific functions to this position described in the Quality Manual. Maintain 5’S for the areas assigned Responsibilities related to Health, Safety and Environment (EHS): Attend and Perform all EHS training assigned. Promote MESH processes and policies to all employees in supply chain in Haina. Provide all resources needed to ensure that all MESH policies and procedures all performed by his/her personal under his/her supervision #LI-MA1 Qualifications SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Bachelor’s degree Industrial Engineer, Business Administration, or related areas. Preferable a master’s degree or MBA. Minimum experience of 7 years in similar positions. Bilingual (English/Spanish). PC knowledge, Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint Knowledge ERP Systems SAP Knowledge. APICS Certification. Knowledge of Lean Tools and 6 Sigma.
