Eaton’s Vehicle Division, is currently seeking a Materials Planner, based at our Eaton Logistic Center, in Indianapolis, IN. This position leads the demand and supply planning and execution of getting material needed at the right time and the right quantity for each production facility in VGNA. This role will maintain and monitor customer demand on a monthly basis and be responsible for managing inventory levels, excess and obsolete. This individual will work closely with the aftermarket sales and plant operations teams to deploy standard process and tools to optimize demand management and materials operations. Essential Functions: Develop the aggregate Demand Plan (12-18 month rolling demand forecast) and supporting assumptions on a monthly basis for financial rolling forecasts and support the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning Process and on an annual basis to drive Profit Plans. Determining the required materials and generating purchase orders/blanket order releases Ensuring the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for aftermarket and production Ensuring materials meet specifications, quality standards, and are cost-efficient. Controls inventory value and consistently evalvuating overmax inventory to look for reduction opportunities Controls items to be within min-max range Coordinating with other departments regarding production goals, timelines, supplier payments, etc. Communicates proactively on the aging ASN with each site leader Controls plants disruptions eliminated (0 zero down time) Requests on time cycle counts in case item goes below 50% min and assures the production plan is covered Maintains excess/obsolete material controlled. Tracking production volume and monitoring customer demand patterns and purchasing trends. Leads historical forecast analysis in case material is being overpulled by the manufacturing plants Review material requirements planning, capacity requirements planning and logistics Lead material deviations regarding material availability, (Quality, Logistics, Discrepancies) Operate with urgency when it’s needed to mitigate impact to our customers, able to maintain calm on stressful situations Promotes the IMPACT strategy and supports Eaton’s ethics and values as well as quality policies. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Indianapolis, IN. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. Preferred Qualifications: Problem solving skills, team attitude, ability to speak to different levels of the organization Technical knowledge in ERP (Oracle) business intelligence platforms (OBIEE, Qlikview), Miscrosoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and product knowledge.
