Job Description
Eaton’s VGNA division is currently seeking a Materials Planner / Customer Service to join our team. This position is based at our Queretaro facility. The Materials Planner / Customer Service is responsible for ensure an uninterrupted supply of materials to support production and sales. Work to resolve Materials issues while achieving and maintaining inventory business metrics. • Scheduling of Incoming material, overall ownership of material ordering and availability • Monitor inventory levels to ensure plant inventory objectives are met. • Develop the master production plan to satisfy customer demand while carrying minimum effective inventory • Develop Master Production Schedule in company system to prepare requirements for purchased and manufactured parts • Schedule & Coordinate shipments for Customers or Coating Suppliers Some activities related with the position will be: Analyze, Planning and require the raw material and/or subassemblies for OEM & Service Parts production line’s (releases) Avoid production line shutdown due to lack of raw material or subassemblies Manage Phase In / Phase Out to avoid obsolete material To resolve all the discrepancies of shipments with suppliers and internal customers Drive continuous improvements Support to engineering change’s (pro launch and cost out projects) and new projects Monitor inventory levels to ensure plant inventory objectives Follow-up supplier shipments & Track the supplier delivery l Maintaining MRP system Daily Shortage root cause investigation and resolution Activities to support Corona Project: Materials planning process. Active Participation in Eaton Activities (Inventory, Audits, Opex projects) Receive and analyze customer demand Create a rolling 3-month Master Production Plan (MPS) for designated products Customer’s requirements. Analyze and identify risks associated with the Master Production Plan, including manufacturing lead times, shortage parts Ensure accuracy of MRP system Create pick list for Customers (Assy Plants) Follow-up of shipments. Make sure all ASN’s have been sent Support to Areas as required (Quality, Eng, Production, Projects, etc.) Maintain customer systems (e.g. SMART, DRIVE, CMS, SUPPLY POWER etc.) Monitor customer ratings and dispute as appropriate Monitor inventory levels to ensure plant inventory objectives are met Monitor daily production ( track open order status through production, shipping, and delivery) Manage phase in/phase out to avoid obsolete material Maintain F/G Kanban system updated Monitor Sales in daily basis Support the S&OP process to review demand, service levels, performance against schedule, inventory strategy, supply plan to meet demand, and resource implications. Work under the guidelines, policies and process of Eaton, IATF 16949 and ISO 14000 #LI-UH1 Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering or similar MFG Pro Intermediate level(Desirable) English Advanced Level Negotiations & Leadership skills ERP Planning skills (desirable MFG/Pro) MRP knowledge Technical knowledge of bill of material structuring, schedule execution, and inventory management APICS training (Desirable) 3 Years of experience as materials planner in automotive industry or similar, working with global suppliers Initiative Sense of urgency& Team Work Planning Skills Proactive Analytical ability to handle and solve problems Analytical and decision making skills Ability to manage priorities and crisis situations Functional Competencies: Capacity Planning Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) Demand Management Supply Chain Continuity Planning (Desirable) We make what matters work.
