Job Description
Eaton’s Arecibo, PR is currently seeking for a Materials Planning Supervisor to join our team. This position will be responsible for the analysis of various material inputs to maximize product planning, capacity, product completion, and delivery efficiency to support customer and site requirements. Includes the analysis of material and production trends in order to identify opportunities for improvement of costs, lead times, and optimization of customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include but not limited to plan, control and execute the MRP processes execution and data Integrity necessary to achieve desired purchasing and production planning processes to ensure customer service and inventory levels are achieved. Define and lead process improvement projects in order to improve plant’s indicators (PPM, Warranty Claims, Fill Rate, On-Time Performance, Yield, and Scrap). Essential Functions: Customer Service Manage schedule and capacity planning for Electrical products line; maintain metrics such as OTP/Past Dues and MPS Attainment Manage reconciliation of the Arecibo hot lists (re-adjust for flips, cancels, expedites, etc.) to follow critical orders Manage the daily Arecibo production pull Participate and provide input into SIOP planning activities and monthly meetings as required Work with Sales Engineers and Supply Chain to determine expedite capabilities and coordinate with Customer Service to make schedule changes when adjustments are implemented Adjust capacity planning/scheduling by line – daily capacity numbers, weekly buckets, mixed model, etc. as required Run and review reports for Arecibo schedule units/dollars; calculate actual lead-times and manage against quoted lead-time Review and manage overdue items for morning production meetings, adjust capacity planning as needed to pull in overdue item Perform root cause analysis for Arecibo Service Levels and Planning Status and recommend/implement solutions to Customer Service Manager to optimize On Time Performance and manufacturing schedules Adhere to all safety rules and procedures responsible for reporting unsafe conditions to the appropriate management or EHS Manager as required Provide guidance on order scheduling to each CS Production Planner. As a minimum guidance shall consist on daily/weekly allocation of new orders, qty breaks, balancing of product families etc. Create a check and balance report with MPS. Ensure orders honor if capacity allows Customer required Date if within published lead time. Ensure order honor any previous Customer Requirements and/or agreements example AVL request vs promised agreement 90% synchronization as a minimum Ensure orders are acknowledging accordingly; create a check and balance process. Order with no Vista date pass 3 days or order entry must be resolved. Provide Finance with sales projection by product line and family Calibrate with Manufacturing projection of load plan Manufacturing Order Reconciliation – OEI vs Mapics Distribute load plan to engineering for capacity analysis and manning calculation Distribute aggregate load plan for SCM ; planning bill and explosion of key components Provide finance the backlog report and sales revenue report including margins by channel and by product family, ( new report) Discuss with manufacturing and engineering future capacity and constraint to adjust MPS Provide purchasing with key information, features and options etc. Provide PDOA customer with the agreed and synchronized load plan. SCM Systems: Manage MRP/MPS systems processes and execution prepare data base and coordinate the upload of the forecast and planning parameters. Coordinate development of master scheduling process and systems to support process improvements. Support all monthly SIOP related activities. Daily track of data integrity parameters, Vista and Mapics orders management and patterns in order to provide alert signals to purchasing, marketing and customer service team as needed. Verify and control inventory replenishment levels for products served from distribution centers by reviewing re-order points and minimums to assure they are aligned with demand patterns and trends. Determine data integrity issues and provide support to correct them to ensure proper parameters are loaded. Identify, manage, and implement opportunities/projects to achieve the key business goals that are based on cost, quality and delivery. Both functional areas Other duties as assigned Responsibilities related to Health, Safety and Environment (EHS): Attend and perform all EHS training assigned. Promote MESH processes and policies to all employees under his/her supervision. Provide all resources needed to ensure that all MESH policies and procedures all performed by all personnel under his/her supervision. Qualifications Specialized Knowledge: Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering or Business administration Minimum of 3 year experience in Customer Service, Scheduling, Supply Chain or Manufacturing Supervisory experience minimum of 3 years Proven Experience: Prioritizes, considers alternatives, and responds quickly and effectively to unexpected and rapidly changing conditions. Establish networking and interact with key persons/groups at all level of the organization (including suppliers) whose assistance, cooperation, and support may be needed. Manage effectively high pressure situation. Managing multiple projects/situations simultaneously. Leads and directs a team to support the future direction of an organization. Realigns resources to meet changing customer needs. Schedule orders as per MPS guidance. Ensure orders are acknowledging accordingly; create a check and balance process. Order with no Vista date pass 3 days or order entry must be resolved. New orders must honor if capacity allows the customer required date. Meeting with production to address issues, expedites and request pending Provide a daily work load plan 5 days out (Daily Agendas) Utilize Clean to Build tool and MPS attainment Clear understanding of order status and follow up; account for every order from order entry to shipping. Update Consolidated Plan with comments, issues, status for every order. Update the CS Executive Summary for early morning production meeting (OTP, Overdue and Expedites) Timely answer inquiries and mails; avoid seconds and third request and escalation Zero orders at suspense file every day Analyze and Respond all pull-in / push-out activities during the current month PC Proficiency including knowledge of MS windows operating systems, MS Office and Minitab. EHS practices, regulations, and procedures experience. Experience supporting internal/external audits including certification renewal. Proactive attitude towards problem solving and resolving issues that may affect plant/employees health, safety, and operations. Availability to work extended hours when required by management Ability to work under pressure Bilingual – English\Spanish with good oral and written communication skills (preferred) Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
